Re: Short fleet bed

Any word on fenders? I'm afraid they might be just the outer shell for that price? Id sure like to pull the trigger if they are the whole bedsides.

Re: Short fleet bed

Haha , it's the whole bedside they don't produce just the complete outside of the bed , I'm going to pick mine up Tuesday from the shipper averitt in Knoxville , rather than wait for them to deliver way out here in God's country . I don't think any vendor has them in stock , I'm pretty sure they are dropped shipped when ordered at a considerable price increase .Do you really want to pay a couple hundred more for Joe Balogny's truck parts to place the order for you ? Personally I'd rather they come directly from AMD than being shipped to a vendor then shipped again to me ,less hands less chance of damage .

Re: Short fleet bed

That makes sense. The vendor would add on cost. I guess I was just leary because I have been looking for awhile and they have all been around 500 per side.

Re: Short fleet bed

I tried , I didn't set it up that way with CARiD or AMD and Averitt customer service wouldn't allow shipping dock pick up ,So I have to wait until Thursday afternoon for them to show up in my driveway . Anybody notice that Goodmark and AMD are located just N of Atlanta in Buford/ Lawrenceville ? Are they one in the same with different stickers ?

Re: Short fleet bed

What's the difference between the "OE style" and "w/o marker lamps, w/o stake pockets"? I assume just the stake pockets?

The 67 didn't come with side marker lamps ( 68-72 did) and many guys are welding up the stake pocket holes for a cleaner look so now you can order a replacement bed without them .

I get that some people like these trucks all smoothed up, but I really like stake pockets. To me that's just one part of the cool of an old truck.
