I am considering the exact thing you are showing on your wrecked truck. I'm thinking a tractor step or a mud traction mat bolted up tight to the rocker and out just enough to get reasonable footing. That's some cool thinking there. Should work out nice. The wreck was caused by anti-freeze on a curve from an accident that had just been cleared away. I mean the cop and EMTs were just coming back up the hill from turning around at the river (county line).

Doesn't CARR make a cast aluminum step like that Warn one?

I wear 501 jeans when Im not at work. I have a pair that I have right where I want them. Today my nephew and I were doing a lot of parts moving around. One trip I sorta hopped up in to the cab ... riiiiiip! Ugh!

I need to get my grab handles and steps soon lol.

Those 501s don't take the stretch it up into the cab like they once did. Sorry you lost your old friends

I like the ideas here, I've been looking into different steps and some of the power retracting setups are pretty nice but always seem to be over a grand. I can't "pull" myself up into a cab anymore due to massive full depth rotater cuff tears and a slap lesion so grab handles are out for me. Still don't like the look of steps hanging down on a 4x4 tho!
