If you are going to rebuild your motor and want the lumpy cam sound I suggest you go over to Hotrodders.com and register. They are experts on motors and can help you a lot.
It's a little more to it than just installing a big ol' cam. You will need the right heads, piston, valve springs, push rods, rockers, and few more things to make it run right.
I'm not saying don't do it but if you are going with the lumpy cam do it right.
Another thing is oil, todays oil is not good for a flat tappet cam especially a big ol' lumpy flat tappet cam. You will need to run special oil with ZDDP(ninc) added. A hydraulic roller is the best way to go but you will need another block or get your block machined for one.
