Check the website they are temporarily out of stock, obviously precision cannot keep up with the demand

Re: Brothers push-on door seals

Found a set on flea bay, as GMCPAULS are back ordered.

Fit good, go on super easy.

The seam lined up at the rear of the sill plate would of rather it be in the middle of the sill plate.
But nice otherwise.

Don't mind the glue mess, last weekends fiasco

Yes, we are currently out of stock and not because Precision can't keep up with the demand but instead because we care about the quality of the product we supply to our customers. At the end of 2016 beginning of 2017 Precision ran 4 complete manufacturing runs of these where the seals were cut & joined with the incorrect lengths. Every retailer that carries these was informed of the Lot #'s involved and was requested to send those seals with matching lot #'s back to precision as the joint ends up in a incorrect location and some of the seals are just short of meeting up at the ends leaving a gap between seal ends where they meet.
the retailer you purchased from obviously thought they still work even though they are incorrect so they must have decided we'll sell them any way's.
For those that want correctly cut & correct length non-defective seals the new seals have a expected ETA of the last week of April from Precisions latest
production run. They'll then be put through quality control bagged and shipped out to the retailers.
The Lot #'s involved are
77870
78451
78893
78936
These lot #'s can be found on the Precision label sealed inside the ends of every package of these seals.
Only the truck push-on seals were affected. The Suburban's are still available and good to go.

Figures, see what my lack of patience gets me again.

Re-do strikes again

I mentioned this to dad ( Paul Sr. ) and he did let me know Precision informed us only of the 4 lot #'s that we had purchased from that were defective. So there may have been other Lot #'s that we had not purchased from that were also defective. Dad said he would make Precision aware of that Lot #, and this post. I'm emailing the link to him now so that he can forward it to our account rep at Precision for review tomorrow.

I know GMCPauls will have future business, bought the od indicator and was perfect.

What I get for being impatient and being so aggravated with the glue in style.

This is my 1st 67-72 project and the learning curve hes been steep.
Squarebody's are another story.

Re: Brothers push-on door seals

Well with service like that for noncustomer. I know where I'm ordering my seals at for my 69. GMCPaul has got my business for sure. Had my order canceled when I tried to order a set from else where. Now I know why.

Sounds like these were installed on the wrong doors. Can't say if the seals were mislabeled or it was installer error. Putting them on the wrong door moves the seam. As for the gap, we haven't had any other feedback on any other lot number and our dock check in records do not reflect a shortage but that doesn't mean a short set could not have got out there. All they need to do is go back through their point of purchase to get them replaced.
""""""""

So you might want to double check you put them on the correct sides when you were installing and if you have any problems just contact the retailer as Precision will stand behind them if wrong.
