I remember about a year back while driving, I came across "crews" on the side of the road in Phoenix. I was glad I was able to help him get what he needed to get back on the road.

If ya pass by Scott AFB on I 64 during the day ( before 3) honk I might hear ya. After that then honk as ya pass Lambert Airport. I live about a mile south of the airport.

Hey everyone, she called my house last night, but I was still at work.
But here is the official word, she made it there, safe and sound. Can't wait till she makes it back on line...I'll bet she has plenty of pictures. |

I read Jewels post just after she posted it. On Friday I was in route to KC to compete @ The National Linemans Rodeo in Bonners Springs, Ks. As I came into Vandalia, Mo I was behind a Uhaul w/ a red 68 stepside in tow. I new right then who it was. I pulled over at the next town to fuel up when Jewels & Longhorn Jeff pulled in. I went over and intoduced myself and told them I had seen her post on this site. After several minutes of chatting and looking at her truck I wished them well and headed to KC for the task at hand. I dont know how probable the odds were to see her post on this site and then run across her on a 2 lane highway in MO, not very I would imagine.Just thought I would share this with everyone

Hi everyone. I'm here!!! I'm officially a resident of Kansas City, MO! Cool! I got my internet service hooked up this morning, so I immediately popped on the board to say hello!
I'm pretty much unpacked, and moved into my new place. I chose a nice little wooded apartment just north of the river. About ten minutes to downtown (where I'll be workin). I have nice neighbors, and a nice area to live in! The trip went smoothly... (other than the broken contact lense.... i'm still makin trips to the local eye doctor to straighten out the new prescription....) here are some replies: Quote:

longhornman, sorry - i didnt take many pictures.... i dont own a digicam -- i have always borrowed them from my friends in the past... but my friends are back at purdue.... i suppose i could have snapped some regular shots with the SLR, but who wants to see me all dirty and sweaty after moving a ****-load of boxes? not too many ppl, i think! i'll have to get ahold of a cheap digicam from walmart or somethin, and snap some shots of my new place! got a nice carport with the apt to park the lil truck under if i like.... was thinkin i might put her there for the winter (with a cover, of course).... but i have had a LOT of offers from other board members to store the truck indoors somewhere, so i'll see what happens..... well, i cannot chat much now, but i will be officially online from now on.... i must still switch over electric, gas, take out the trash, return the UHaul, check back in with the front office, etc. etc. lots to do, so little time! thanks for all the support in the move! catch y'all l8r! ciao! jewels.

Welcome to KC!
Oh, don't get used to this beautiful weather...... it won't last North of the river huh? Then you probably aren't too far way from Chevy Duty.
