Re: New to the C10 game, need advice on a rear drop
Haven't been here in a while, thanks for all the suggestions! A veritable treasure trove of knowledge.
Here's my sloppy jalopy as it sits now. Cut a loop off the front coils and flipped the rear. It rides just like it looks... |

Re: New to the C10 game, need advice on a rear drop
Lol, smooth and even while stationary, otherwise it's sketchier than a department store Santa that smells of Jack and has a proclivity for boys of a certain age.
It needs a total suspension refreshing, to be fair, and I drive it like I'm scoping a block for a drive-by, i.e. super slow while mean-muggin' errybody, so suspension travel is less an issue for me right now than being a total bad ass. The back is riding on the bump stops and the front is not far off. The shocks are blown out and leaking, every bushing is pretty much dry-rotted and the springs were all heated by the owner 2 previous to myself, so ya, it carves corners. |

Quote:
Heating coils is a hack job, cutting coils is not. In fact a cut C10 or C20 coil rides better than most aftermarket lowering springs.
