This truck originally had a blue interior.
Should't the interior door panels have been blue as well?
or, is white correct for a blue interior?

Looks like a really nice example of a 'stepper'.
I would guess the value at least at $5K....maybe up to $6k.
The reason I wouldn't go higher is due to the low option factor on the truck and that as unique as the long steppers are...they don't have the same upper value range as the fleets.
Being a 6 cylinder truck can sometimes lower the value for some buyers as well.
No disrespect intended.

If I had it, I would find a nice chrome front bumper and keep an eye for an original steering wheel...just my preferences of course, but they would also push the value and look of the truck up a little more...if that matters.

I know what was paid for the truck from my conversation with the prior owner last night.
It ain't gonna go that low.
I 100% agree that the 6-cyl, low option and step side values are lower.
For me though as a truck I will use, it works better for me.
But you are right about resale value.
Thanks for the catch on the steering wheel; I did not realize it was wrong.
Anything else look wrong to you?

Well, I'm not sure if I would use the word 'wrong'...but there are a few other details that can contribute to value including:

-Driver's side armrest is incorrect....should be parchment/white and the one shown is actually a passenger side armrest mounted on the drivers side
-Rear bumper is non-original (still nice tho')
-Seat condition under the cover?...for bigger money it should be in nice shape.
-Condition of the bed under the rubber mats....needs replacing? or just being protected?
-Underhood detailing....again for bigger money, it should be nicely cleaned up and repainted...maybe find an original air cleaner (hard to find).
....there are always a few other minor things but again, its a nice truck.....and it just depends what he is asking relative to what is there.

Regardless....its a nice truck for sure but I don't think it is a 5 figure truck....if that is what the guy is asking.

The original seat cover is under the current cover and it's roached out. It's Blue like the dash pad.
That's why I'm confused about the door panels?

The door panels could be either blue or white/parchment with a blue truck.
Those door panels tho' look like they came from a 'deluxe' truck with the scrolling that is on them....so the originals might have been blue?....or who knows.

The base model trucks had a fairly plane door panel with no scrolling....
Look to see if there are small minor holes or slots surrounding that central scrolling area because usually there is a small chrome trim that goes with that type of door panel.
....none of this is too important...just details, but again....depends on what he is asking.

I told him to "grow a brain".
He came down a good bit but, still higher than the consensus here.
I've made a list of deficiencies so we'll see what I can do face-to-face with cash in hand.
If it's off-the-hook exceptional maybe work a couple bucks more but???

Remember....there are still a lot of nice, classic trucks out there in the $6-$9k bracket all day long.
There were hundreds of thousands of these things made for years.....so there is always another one out there.
If it was listed at $3500...well, that is a different story and not today's story.

I just thought of something.....

I use my truck regularly to go get racing fuel for my other cars.

On my old truck I used ramps on the tailgate so I could roll down a 615# (loaded) fuel caddy and my 245# fat ass.

I'm wondering if the tailgate on the stepside can handle that kind of weight on the ramps.

I'm also wondering about the chains failing.

Hopefully someone can chime in before I wast 1/2 a day looking at truck I won't be able to use.

I searched to see if the tailgate was easily removed.
Found nothing constructive.
