I used 15x14" widened corvette ralleys w/9.5" of back space w/a stock width 67/8 12 bolt housing. I removed the rear bumpstops & stretched the tubs to almost 21" wide.

I do have a couple of old pics I can try & scan @ work. They were taken from the ground directly behind the truck so you can see the width of the tire combo. I'll see what I can do for you.

It looked very similar to 'prost68's' aka Brett/smooth68's truck but w/o the narrowed rear end.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Thanks Randy, I knew you would remember that it was Brett's truck. Brett, I still love that thing, I'm just drooling to build one someday. And Brad (flyin99) how could I possibly forget you. I watched and followed all your progress pics. Aren't you just kickin yourself in the a$$ for getting rid of that beautiful truck? Maybe your not, but I seem to always regret selling something that unique!

Let's keep this thread alive! I think there was some pics of a black 67 pro-street that were posted early this year from some car show. Also taken at that show, was a silver 72 that was beautiful throughout. I think the silver truck I am thinking of was one of our first "truck of the month" winners. Help me out here guys, I have all those pics stored on my back-up hard drive which I don't have installed right now.

Thanks To all

The pictures are great and the Red step side looks good and the long bed too. For now I am thinking 15x12 7.5 bs extend the fleetside tubs to the frame and this will allow me to run about a 31x18 tire is this correct?

SCOTI it would be great to see some pictures because, I think you did just what I want to do. I think the Fat tire look is great on these old trucks.

The black pic above is mine.
I didnt want the full pro street tire, but I did want the big and little combo, so i did the 20x10 on the rear. I cant stand O-ring tires so I went with the 305-50-20 which meaures 32" tall, kind of pro-street/pro-touring.....I call it PRO FARM and thats what the plate says.

A 31x18.5 would prob be too big for a 12" wheel, a 14" would work better. You would have to stretch the tubs almost to the frame (thats how wide mine are).

Check out this truck. It belongs to a buddy of mine. He'd probably be happy to answer any questions.
