That makes more sense. That way the ends of the trim would be hidden. I’m still banging out dents and fixing rust. Maybe I’ll get to paint it this summer.

Re: D99 paint divider trim

Thank You Grumpy !

About to install my trim on my 72 stepside...These look like a better idea than using the small screws.

Re: D99 paint divider trim

OK...I got the rivets & installed them today. Very satisfied with the results.
Just some additional info.....The rivets need to have a #39 (.099) hole drilled in the cab to get a tight fit. Also the pull pins on these rivets are .055 diameter. My rivet gun would not work, but I borrowed one from a friend that had the correct size to fit the pull pins. I put a dab of seam sealer on each before setting the rivets to assure a watertight seal.

Re: D99 paint divider trim

I've used small flathead screws to attach the plastic clips. worked great Pick them up at any hardware store.

Re: D99 paint divider trim

Do you have any measurements for the placement of these studs? Mine doesn't have the divider trim, but I am going two tone so I want to put the trim on.
