Hey man about how much would it cost to put a 67 down in the weeds with some baggs? Im gonna put 22's on it and bag it and would like some advice on what to do and buy?!

What a good idea!

since a bagged thread was started,i have a question.can you genericly put bags on ,say without a pump and such.i plan on doing it all corectly but i cant afford it all at once.so i was hoping i could install the bags,run like a air line to them ,and still drive while im saving cash for the remander parts.if so what parts do i have to have to genericly(sp) install them.thanks even though most of you are thinkin im a retard right about now

The heck with the heavy compressor just stop at the gas station when you want to go UP!
I used to have the bags that go inside your springs on the old work truck! I just ran all the air lines to the inside of the gas filler door where the air hose could attach! Worked good but was only to handle loads! No fun if you can't go up and down!


What is the brand to go with????????

Hydraulics

Hydros put a smile on my face.
I've been playing with them since I was 15 years old.
Don't get me started.
Bags are OK but hydraulics are instantly there with a flick of a switch.As good as you seal all your air fittings,after a few days parked,your air tank is empty and you won't go anywhere until your compressor builds pressure in your tank.
I'm an old school west coast "homeboy" but don't hold this against me.
I've advanced from lowriders to low hot rods as you can see on web site under "toys" www.jjengineering.us All my vehicles ride on a fully active hydraulic suspension.Done wrong,hydrualics have a bad reputation.With my engineering backround and owning a machine shop.I've fabricated my own hydraulic cylinders to eliminate having to cut frame.I'M NOT ADVERTISING MY SERVICES. I'm just offering my opinion.

Hydrualics

I forgot to mention,you don't need a ton of batteries.
Hydrualic pumps run on 12 volts.If you run 10 batteries,you are pumping 120 volts to a 12 volt pump and of course it's going to jump like Janet Jackson's career.I run 12 volts to my 12 volt pump
and my rides come up gently without "Fu***ing up my frame.
From what I've heard,an air compressor or two stay on for quite a few minutes.That is probably a big drain on your battery.
With hydro's, pump is on for only a few seconds.

Just my opinion.

BTW In my early days, the cops allways pulled me over.

rear end

I almost forgot why I responded to this thread.
For those of you running bags,do you have a problem with your rear end shifting from side to side as it goes up and down?
Using my hydraulic suspension experience,a panhard bar keeps your rear end centered as long as you keep ride height the same.
With a panhard bar,as your rear end goes up and down more than a few inches, your frame will move side to side(left to right)
depending on rear suspension height.
By using a "watts linkage" instead of a panhard bar,this device keeps your rear end centered no matter what level your at.

When Michael Waltrip was on his lid, did you notice they run the EXACT same trailing arms as we do?

Can anyone price an entire air ride set up for a 67 panel? brackets, bags, lines, fittings, tank, compressor....everything. Air ride technologies would run about $1500, and I think Airlift's was going to run closer to $2000 but comes with the built in C-notch for Burbs. Can anyone do better?
