what happened to the 67 remake

So what company built this truck^^^? I would love to have it as my everyday driver. Not to replace my 70 step but it could replace my '13 Silverado.

Saw the article in a magazine, Blains body shop in Lepanto Arkansas built it. A sorry pic of the article. I thought something like this would have been a better tribute to Chevy’s 100th anniversary

I'd agree. Although it's done to a nice standard, if GM is going to restore a vehicle GM should do it like GM did it originally.

This wasn't a high end resto though, it's a cut down longbed too. Note wheelwell and lack of center stake hole, etc.

It reminds me of the milk delivery truck the Western Maryland Street Rod Association did for a local dairy's anniversary. I think they nailed it, just like with this '67, but fellow antique truck friend thinks it sucks with modern wheels/tires. It's not a restoration, it's a street rod done to look like a restoration but it's a street rod. It still looks like the old milk hauler with it's authentic paint scheme but once you take a good look you see it is a blend of then and now. Not a restoration, not a truck from today. It's an old truck brought into today while maintaining it's general original look. Yeah, if it were me I'd has true spokes on that thing, but...




That's how I see the '67 100th exposition vehicle. They don't want to take us back 50 years, just show a current styling of a 50 year old product. In reality, this truck better represents a '67 of today than a stock restoration.

if Chevrolet did restore this truck they must have lost the original buildsheets or something,
it has 68 trim on the hood and fenders, a panoramic back widow, should have done a small window to let you KNOW it was 67. 1968 and up vent windows and the lower bodyline doesn't look right on the bed. And why would you use painted bumpers with chrome and stainless trim? and headrests???? those look ugly sticking out the back window. sorry... I know... my opinion.

everyones right, its a resto mod.. nice truck, but Chevy should have gotten it right
