Here is a more recent picture. this is at a local car show. as seen here you can see the checkmate hard bed cover. I still am running the stock length rear shocks, when i replace them with a shorter unit it will lower another inch in the rear to level out.

At the same time I do the wheels I'm doing the following: drop spindles drop springs(front and rear) front end rebuild kit 4 wheel discs 5 lug axles eaton posi traction new gears and bearings for the rearend That will all be one project that will start as soon as I get my wheels. Then I'm going to fab up a new exhuast system and sound deaden the interior. All in the next two months. Too bad this is my daily driver. I'm having to borrow a friends ride.

[B]YES! Greens69! That is exactly the combination I'm dreaming of. Now I am definitely getting 20s. Do you have any clearance problems? What are your wheel and tire sizes? Amount of drop? That looks comparible to the 5/6 drop that I will have. Again, very nice. Thanks, No I don't have any clearance problems with this combination. My wheels up front are 20 X 8 with 245/45/20 and in the rear are 20 X9.5 with 275/45/20. the truck is lowered 4 & 6

greens69, Very cool. Do you have any pictures looking down the side of your truck? I'd like to see how your backspacing is. Also, do you know what your backspacing is?

Here's my $0.02 for the stepsiders: 20X8, 255/45X20 all around.
Norcal_guy: Looks like those wheels are popular on the east coast, too.

You are correct, these wheels are becoming popular. I actually was in the ordering process for some B. Coddington wheels but they had like a 6-8 week back order. I only had 3 weeks till I had to get my truck on the road. I ordered these from a friend and ordered the tires offline from a reallly inexspensive place in Tenn.
www.performancetirewholesalers.com I will try to post some ride height pics soon. but trust me I do not air it up too much to cruise around my small town. and about 3 inches for freeway cruising |
