I've personally never seen an NOS or original non-painted inner. The only exception is the difference that is common to many about the difference between the '69 and '70 Chevy truck inner grills: the '69 was a light gray painted over the egg-crate, whereas the '70 did as well, EXCEPT for the recessed area.



What I imagine you have is a '70 with the raised painted area being rubbed off possibly from storage and moving around over the years.

While definitely more uncommon, we have had/seen a few 71-72 NOS inner grills in raw unpainted plastic over the years, but on the 69-70 NOS inner grills we have only had/seen painted examples, either having just the outer most facing edge/lip of the center sections painted or the whole center sections spray bombed entirely (see RED arrows below). If you do a board search up above you will probably up with a hundred plus past threads on the 69 vs. 70 grill topics. Mel

Thanks Mel. Saw the pricing after I PM'd, but figured it was appropriate to ask considering the age of the thread.

I will take the hood latch. I am also interested in the grille, but it would require some pick up creativity or you reconsidering shipping. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions on how we could make it work.

My heart is broken. I wanted that inner so bad...just on the wrong end of the country. If it is being shipped...please just say you're going to pick it up. Beautiful piece and the only one I've ever seen.
