Your engine looks great. That ought to be a blast with the Muncie.

Why modify that PS pump? The newer remote reservoir pumps are smaller and easier to plumb.

Re: Starting 1966 Factory Short Bed Build, Bagged, 383 Stroker and Muncie M20 4-Speed
Howdy,
Tried to send you a PM, but apparently your inbox is full. I was curious what was included in your rebuild kit and where it came from if you don't mind sharing? I am considering picking up a 4 speed, but it has some damaged/chipped teeth on a couple of the gears. Because of that it is a stupid cheap price from what I have seen, but not sure about getting some of the internal hard parts. Thanks much!

Sure i will share. I bought the book: Workbench how to rebuild a Muncie 4-Speed by Paul Cangialosi. I also went to youtube and looked up Paul Cangialosi and he has a bunch of vidoes on howto. He is is basically the Godfather of the Muncie. He supports/owns a company that sells the parts - 5speeds.com. Everything including buying complete Muncie from them. If you have any questions, please let me know. |
