Re: 67 GMC Pontiac powered Project
Hang in there man. For me the wait is worth it but it's all the other things I could have gotten done on the truck while it sits.
Ugg!

Re: 67 GMC Pontiac powered Project
Got it back today, it had been at the body shop about 10 months.
It's a 67 Impala color Sierra Fawn Poly screen grab He's a 1 man shop out in the country who overbooked himself. Nice guy, wouldn't take any money until completed. Wasn't sure how much he was going to charge, ended up being about half of what I expected. Not perfect but looks pretty good to me for a driver. Now, to get it put back together. |

Re: 67 GMC Pontiac powered Project
It's looking great! Did you get the grill top-bar painted? I couldn't tell from the pics.

Re: 67 GMC Pontiac powered Project
Thanks for the kind words
Yes he painted the top bar It was fun putting the rivets in the grille I'm not sure the truck rally's are going to stay, I was hoping the guy that makes the clips to put the 67 vette style center on these rims would make another batch, but its been over a year since he made the last clips. Had a set of bucket seats freshly upholstered in black that came with another car I had bought, I believe they were out of a later tahoe, but the backs are too thick and put me right up on the steering wheel, so the stock seat is getting redone |

That chrome 67 grille really looks sharp on the front of that truck. Well done

Re: 67 GMC Pontiac powered Project
Just about finished, Got the seat back from upholstery shop.
Still need to get it aligned, and stop a dipstick seal leak on the trans. Also I would like to fix and paint the original steering wheel Need to get another new rear bumper, the one I bought has a pretty good bow in it ( high in the center and lower on each end) like it was banded too tight when shipped, And to be honest I've had it a long time and don't remember where I bought it |
