while i know this thread is about gates and older trucks i have two 73-87 trucks that u use as dual purpose trucks and are by no means show quality. When i replaced fenders on my 76 i bought some off brand made in ROK ( republic of korea) which fit like crap you cant line em up right and htye touch the cab on the top making em fit like sh*t, In addition i used aaftermarket tailgate on my ranger when i was hit from behind. the old tailgate was great now im no lightweight 270 lbs but id expect to sit on a tailgate with no problems. sat ont he aftermarket tailgate and the thing sagged, Being the ranger is new i made the body shop take back the tailgate and get me an NOS one i sit on the new one all the time and exccept for Goodmark ( who i seem to hear alot of good stuff about) i dont think id ever buy another aftermarket piece again it just dont seem to be worth it
