Amen to that! Another reason I opted for the in-bed spare. Also, if one of the rear tires are flat then it's probably even harder to get out.

^^^^ It is. And every time I had a flat it was raining or muddy where the truck was sitting.

So true! I'm at a point where if the wife wants to go camping (we have a travel trailer) and rain is in the forecast, I "Just Say No". What are we going to do? Sit in the trailer and stare lovingly into each other's eyes, and...wait, who am I kidding!? Who's going to want to walk the dog in the rain, anyway? Times like that, I want to take a hatchet to do some "wood working".
