As Scoti mentioned, the FF 14b rear ends out of a single rear wheel one-ton are narrower and they get their leaf spring and shock tabs cut off and replaced when slamming the duallys to tuck cut 22" Alcoas.

well you did not mention it come from a true 1ton . you also said you got parts from a c20 3/4 ton .

so ether i miss understood or like i said you might of got the wrong rear . .

and aspr my screen name i kind of know abit about c/k30 trucks . i have had atleast 1dozen squares and 8-9 k30 trucks .

and just for info sake for others later who might find this in search results here is some info :

c/k 30 rear in SRW and or narrow C&C rear is the same housing . its just the wheel hubs and backing plate flange and drum spacing for them .
c/k 30 flare side DRW with fiberglass fenders on the box are a dana 70HD rear and WIDE .

now if you want a little different option the G-30 full size van with the full float is 70" WMS to WMS and the rear of a SRW is 67" and the front dana 60 4x4 axle is 69" . so if you want a wider axle in a SRW but dont need the WIDE DRW of the pickup with flares then find a van rear .

and one last one if your a 4x4 guy and wish to run unmodified hummer H1 millitary rims with 7" backspace some guys do a SRW hub swap on the WIDE DRW dana 70HD and get even wider than a SRW van axle . and the front just needs factory DRW hubs on the dana 60 then there all 4 perfect .

No ruffled anything here. I do have a 3/4 ton 4x Suburban for parts but I am not currently going to use it's rear diff. I came across this FF 14B rear that has a 3.04 ratio, so I got it then went through the brakes. The Suburban, I am still using as a parts bin and will be selling off the remaining parts (seats, console, front and rear diff, tranny, transfer case etc etc etc) after I am done with it.

3.04 ratio ? ? ? never heard of that one . maybe 3.42 or ultra rare 3.23 .

I moved the back seat of my crewcab to the front because it didnt fold forward. Then I put a regular cab seat in the rear that did fold forward. I just swapped the tracks. Some regular cab seats dont fold forward. Thats probabaly the base model ones. Iwanted the extra storage behind the rear seat is why I went that route. Hope this helps. Gord

figured that was what you had . good gear and harder to find . can get new easy but not much used .
