Re: 1977 GMC Jimmy High Sierra
I would find somebody that can work that fender into decent shape with it off.

Re: 1977 GMC Jimmy High Sierra
I was going to sell the Jimmy but the wife wants me to keep it, she usually doesn't have any opinion on what I do with vehicles but she has made her choices known on the 72 K5 and the Jimmy.
The other week I went out to start it up and no spark, figured its a GM its the ignition control module and I've had enough GM's that I just have on on hand lol. I'm getting the age (and shape) where I am not hunching down under the hood to change it out so I built the hood remover attachment for my cherry picker. It took me a couple weeks after removing the hood to have the time and drive to change it out though. Yesterday my son changed the ICM, cap and rotor with me directing him, had to prime the carb and fuel lines but she fired up again. After putting the hood back on we had to move the cherry picker back to the shop and wasn't dragging it 300 feet in gravel and dirt so we used this, he loves driving the tractor

the two arms can be adjusted side to side and swing back up to the top for storage.

Re: 1977 GMC Jimmy High Sierra
well I need a new speedometer, it was reading 100-52-76-23-105 while doing about 30 down the road lol. Pulled the cable end from the transfer case and used a drill and it was jumping all over so I went and got a new cable, same thing, drove into town and the speedometer quit all together.

Re: 1977 GMC Jimmy High Sierra
So I feel like this thing is like a case of herpes, it just never goes away lol.
I sold it a couple months ago, last week a county sheriff comes by my house asking if I knew where it was, told him I sold it, he says its still in my name and wanted to make sure it wasn't stolen because they got called on it being abandoned. luckily we live in a small town and he was used to seeing it parked here, he told me where it was and if I got to it before the tow truck then he knew nothing. so here it is back home, filed for a lost title. got a little more story when I went to get it, it got driven out to a house in the country, house got raided and everyone picked up, nobody came back to the house and landlord was clearing their stuff out.
