I meant to mention over the last few weeks (I don't slave over this project) that I unbolted the fenders from bedsides, drilled out the spot welds that hold small re-inforcement straps that are inside the mounting flange, sandblasted them and inside of fenders, (in spots they were pretty rusted, but I'll make them work) sprayed with weld-thru primer, and re-welded them in the proper spots. I've since just been working the imperfections of 36 years or so of abuse on the fenders. Actually I'm getting pretty sick of it and about to call it good enough.

I've got a digi cam but can't figure out how to make it transfer images to computer or I would show what I have done today or last couple days. Oh well. Sh!t happens.

Yeah TX Firefighter,

Thats the one. I bought the super kit.. came with everything... i need it to replace the trim rivets on that cougar I'm working on.. I'm sure I'll find some uses for it on my truck.

Tinted the rear window ,and changed the oil .

funny you say that... one of the reasons i went to outback truck parts was to get an engine wiring harness and a tilt column turn signal wiring setup. when we pulled the tilt out we cut the wires... we didnt care since it prob didnt work anyway.

so i am gonna put that tilt in! soon i hope. i am gonna clean it up strip it paint it black wire it up and stick it in!
i got another camaro wheel to put on it all i need is a horn cap... i broke the tabs off the back of mine

Um. lets see. I got my gastank bolted back in the ambulance and a new line bent up for it. Well, i did that on Christmas, we put in a new countertop yesterday, so I woke up at like 12, then countertop, then work from 4 to 1, then sleep. Woke up at 12. then laundry. then work at 4 to 12 tonight. now here. And here in between sometimes too...

I cleaned up the garage a little bit. The biggest thing was getting the cross member bolted onto the frame so I can move it out of the driveway and into the yard (sorry neighbors!) Then I moved some truck parts around and might actually get my daily driver in the garage in a couple days.

Got the interior gutted to fab mounts for the Honda Bucket-Seats and custom built Center Console. Finally coming into some extra $$$ and trying to figure out what to change next...Stereo? Line-X? Window Tint? Roll Pan? Drivers side door handle? Different size rear wheels/tires?....Oh the choices!

I finally replaced the rear passenger side shock mount that broke (rusted off) last month. The truck sure does ride better with both shocks attached.

Lets see... new shocks, brakes, hard fuel lines, '97 tahoe tank, '93 TBI motor swap, '84 front crossmember (for the disks), '76 axle swap (5 lug), and mounted the ralley's

Its been more than the weekend, more like the last month.

(oh yea and I had to replace my entire front clip...f*ckin thieves)

I decided to rebuild my front drums (tough choice between this and discs). While removing the wheel cylinder, the breaker bar slipped out of the socket, all of the force aimed at loosening it, propelled my head toward the fender. When I woke up (!), I had a huge knot over my left eye and everything was pretty blurry. Five hours later, I had replaced the drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, bearings, seals, hoses, springs, etc. and drained my bank account of $444.44. I still have a headache.

Nothing. But since I have no garage and it's winter that's normal. I'm okay with it as I have all kinds of time to spend with the family and the projects that matter most to them. Don't get me wrong I like working on my trucks, but not to the point of obsessing over project progress one-upmanship. When summer rolls around I'll get something done, plus the days are longer.

FYI, summer here is 3 seasons away - winter, mud, and spring.

I put my wifes heater box back together. I broke it completely down, cleaned and painted each piece and re-assembled it. Here's a pic that I posted last week of the box:

I did not get anything done this weekend ! Well I went out and spent $300 for all the bearings to the front and rear axles ! Mabe in a week or two I will get something done on the truck. We partied this weekend mostly ! Kevin and I went out and got the work truck stuck trying to help out one of our friends !

I proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that an old Chevrolet with 2 cans of 4-cyl. STP in it will drive 450 miles with only ~5psi of oil pressure.
