^^^ yes… That would certainly tell us if it’s the same truck it came from the factory. If it’s from the same year but different truck its possible the interior was swapped out by the dealer. Or by a guy and his friend that both bought trucks and swapped.

Re: 67 CST, no buckets - bench seat

Also, you mentioned some other fawn or red interior paint indicators, can you show us those too?

The black fabric that was originally on a '69 Thunderbird electric Bucket back, Bench botton seat I traded my Fawn '68 seat for in 1977, had that same clear stuff. It's not original,
Now I see......my dad put those covers on a 66 Impala right after he bought it new (seems like from Sears mail order). Those covers helped, but eventually yellowed and hardened, and cracked.

Re: 67 CST, no buckets - bench seat

Well, shame on me =( . . . definitely not the original seat as I can clearly see on the build sheet - which does NOT match the SPID or the door jamb. Could have still been a dealer swap though - my truck came from Oregon via CA, but was assembled in the Fremont CA plant. Whatever truck this seat was originally in was shipped to Ben Russell Chevy Co., No 1 Main, Tillamook, Oregon and was a straight 6/M20 4spd as stated on the build sheet attached. Always helps to look at the information you have at your disposal. Thanks for the input guys- I'll see if I can get some photos of the paint job in the interior later today.

Re: 67 CST, no buckets - bench seat

It sure was an interesting thread. I'm still mixed up about it being a CST with fawn interior paint. This thread ain't over yet!

My '67 CST is Vermillion Poly exterior w/ white top and Fawn interior. Seen a lot of '67 CST's and never remember one not having Fawn interior.

I thought CSTs had exterior color like the following years. Guess I remembered wrong.

I only remember base-model C-10's with matching interior/exterior colors in '67 models. Pretty sure that was only for certain colors - I remember green & blue but think there were 2-3 other colors that were that way, but not 100% sure.

Edit: Found this in another thread concerning '67 Interior Colors

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=643268

Quote:
In 67 there were only 4 choices of interior colors.
Silver Fawn Poly
514 Red
506 Medium Blue Poly
503 Medium Green Poly

The bench also has a build sheet underneath - I left that one there, the build sheet that I found behind the seat back I removed and have in my truck records. I can tell the truck had the same color interior as exterior at one point, but it looks to have been sprayed over with the fawn. It "could" have been a PO, but as far as I know, this would not have been the case. There is just too much that has been painted "correctly," if you will, that it isn't a fly by night aerosol can job - at least it sure doesn't appear to be to me. Can anyone tell me if this seat pattern looks correct for a 67? Don't pay attention the the seat cover on the backrest - that's not an actual seat pattern. Also to verify a question from above, I do have a row of standard head screws in the top of the panel just behind the seat that appear to have possibly been used for carpet in the past I assume - they are to evenly done and all the same screw (and old looking) for someone to have added them. Plus, they are currently doing nothing as there is no rear wall carpet today. Thanks all -
my orange 67short stepper non cst. has that same vertical pattern

Re: 67 CST, no buckets - bench seat

My '67 K/10 Suburban has a White exterior and all Fawn interior*. My '68 C/10 Stepside has a 516 Orange exterior and interior with Fawn accents. Steering wheel and column, steel door panels were painted Fawn. Folding bench seat had ladder-pattern Fawn vinyl, Sunvisors, and Dash Pad also Fawn vinyl. Seat belts silver/grey nylon with Fawn plastic buckles. Even the clips to secure the visors were a Fawn plastic.
Both trucks out of Fremont.
* Except the '67s glove box is crinkle Black.
