Re: Project "Old Aux"
I would stay with 17 or 18, you will not like the ride with the band aid tires.

Re: Project "Old Aux"
We're gonna run a 40 series on all four corners......Along with Porter's Air Ride system, it should ride like butter.

Re: Project "Old Aux"
This is a beautiful truck! I can tell you're really putting your own style into it, not just doing what everyone else thinks looks cool.
One question though, what are you going to do with the rear end? Reburb and powdercoat what's there or replace it?

Along with Nathan Porter, alot of the credit for this build goes to Keith (N2Billet) He's been giving me guidance on what parts to buy from day one. As far as the rear end, a 67 (narrower) 12 bolt is being completely refurbished right now, New bearings, axels, seal, gears, posi, powder coat and big willwood 14 inch rear brakes. The axel on there now is the 1972 (wider) mock up one. |

Re: Project "Old Aux"
It's all in how you set it up. We had a BMW 335I & now there's a M3 sitting in the driveway. The 335I had 35 series 18's, the M3 rolls on 30 series 19's & rides just fine. A 40 series on air w/enough shock & suspension travel will be the same.

GVizzle- I think the 22's all around would rock. We mounted Keiths up here in Houston, and lets just say it left me with some hard feelings.

Re: Project "Old Aux"
I think the engine is going to be awesome in your truck. I'm more of a chrome engine guy but this really fits the look of your high end factory build.

Re: Project "Old Aux"
GVizzle... can't quite tell from the pics, but is the motor painted stock orange? What paint did you use to paint it?
Love the BS trac system up front, and in black, even nicer.
