Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Shot a couple of test dash pieces last night in preparation for painting the rest of the interior. A couple of frustrating weekends in front of me as I suck at paint and body work, but need to save some money to pay a pro to paint the exterior...hopefully, later this year.

Installed my vacuum gauge today! (3 years in the making...) Whoo Hoo! Only one thing left to add to the dash... It's the small things that make us crazy around here.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
While waiting for the radiator fix, I decided to pull the plugs and do a comp test. I wasn't running all that well anyway. 1-120, 2-142, 3-123, 4,130, 5-126, 6-130, 7-130, 8-135. There's a 22 pound spread, but considering it's a 37 year old motor I'm happy for now. Truck build will include a rebuilt motor anyway.
Plugs that were burning all looked fine, but 2 of them had no gap what so ever. That was probably most of the stumbling problem.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Not done to... but done for my truck
Today was Wheels day in Surrey. I spent some money on various bits, including t-shirts, retro Thermos flask for the teardrop and some bits for the impending job of restoring the truck. Couple of new breathers for the valve covers. A can of yellow spray paint, and more importantly.... Zinc spray for the areas where I end up cutting and welding. Also a 500g tin of copper slip grease for the reassembly of the truck and mechanical parts as I go along. Suspect I may need some of it. Nicola made me buy this Sheriff's badge and wear it all day. One of Nicola's finds at Wheels Day today was this retro Thermos flask for £5.00 which she wants in the Teardrop.

TJ the bird from "My Science Project " would be a good candidate. Nothing like a lighted finger. Any who I went to cruise night.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Hey, pimpston65, since you are taking a lot of photos of the seat cover process, and it's pretty interesting, maybe you should start a separate thread on it. It would be cool to have it in one place, and might really help people later when doing a search for information on how to do it. Just a thought.
