Truck looks great and congrat on it moving on its own!

BTW, what type of wheels are those? I don't think I have seen them before. They look very nice.

Palf70Step, thanks. They are American Racing AR898. I wanted something a little different and found these on Ebay.

Thumbs up Re: What did you do to your truck today!

By the time you read this , I wil be driving it 'round L.A. doing the many errands I have to do this , my day off .

I added the usual Christmas Wreath but the illumination part failed after only 20 + years ~ jeeze , those crappy Chinese can't make anything good ! .

I hope all our Mid Western folks made it through the Blizzard yestday O.K. ~ I have not so fond memories of sliding around snow and ice slick rural New England Highways and Farm to Market back roads in well rusted pickups 50 years ago.......

Chain up the rear wheels , fill the bed with filled sand bags or scrap metal and wish the heater core handn't burst from poor maintenance years before...

FWIW , holding your foot against the rusted out toeboard to keep the snow & slush from hitting you in the face works really well but , the inevitable frostbite hurts much worse , thank God for hot coffee ! .

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I got my cab back upright today after replacing the floor. Now it's time to go to work on the pillars and rockers.

Most of the blizzard went South of us up here. I'd sort of like a little more snow this time of year, though. Although brushing snow (or worse yet, scraping frost and ice) off the cars so we can get to work in the morning is getting to be a pain with the truck project taking up both stalls of the garage.

lol I had an old S10 Blazer a while back that the heater went out on. Fortunately it had a sunroof that I could open when driving around in the winter to keep my breath from fogging up the windows. Not as cold as opening the window.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

The truck was running like complete crap and shutting off, somehow the distributor came loose and causing all my problems but fixed it on the side of the road. It's running like a top again and even came home and gave her a bath

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Found the leak I couldn't find, the otherday at the muffler shop, '67 c10 lwb ss, '65 230, daily driver. A crack in the block behind the exhaust manifold pipe. Recently reveled by engine cleaning (scrape w/ putty knife). Great truck, just needs everything. So I shut my eyes and dumped in a bottle of bars original recipe. Does anyone know an expert (better than me) engine builder in Northeast Georgia? I am looking for a custom built complete L6 that I can dropin and drive.

Posted via Mobile Device. I used my plasma to cut out the center of my 68 air cleaner , then I used 2 hole saw's put together to cut the hole in the 2 barrel base. ( one hole saw as a guide and the other to cut the hole)

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Put in a new adjuster into the left front brake, adjusted it, replaced a broken lug-stud, re-packed the bearings, and put it all back together.
The pedal now feels much firmer much sooner.
Next up, same for the right front.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Started out taking the front bumper off (spent a half hour taking two bolts out only to find that the bumper was welded to the frame), and my dad helped me rebuild my rear brakes.

Took off the trash, and stopped by the gas station. came straight back home. Sucks, but every mile is better then just watching it sit!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Replaced the re-pop GMC bumper my friend gave me with my newly re-chromed original bumper. The original bumper sure fits better than the re-pop did.
