Well, I'll have a key for the doors, but will also have a keyless entry system on the same remote as the start fob. I don't particularly mind carrying keys on me as I usually have some for other stuff anyway..

yeah thats my point, if your going to have keys on you any ways why not just save the money and keep a keyed ignition, you could get the doors and ignition keyed the same then you couldn't have to carry anymore, and you could still have a remote start system with a keyed ignition.

Went with the keyless ignition mainly because I am not particularly fond of where ididit mounts there ignition switch if you are using keys... It doesn't sit where the factory GM ignition switch would sit, but closer to the wheel & angle back towards you - not good for keys, but AWESOME for a push button start set-up! Plus, I've gotten kind of used to the whole push button start deal on my Wife's Cadillac SRX.

If could have one thing from this sweet build id either chose that fuel/tach gauge because I need that badly lol or the mast motor because well... its from mast

Yep, I really love my tach/fuel gauge too - one thing I always despised about the square bodies was that ridiculously huge fuel gauge.... Some models did come with tach's, but I have never owned one personally. And as for the Mast motor - I can't wait to drive it & hear this thing run with the Magnaflow exhaust!!!!

Here's some shots of the yet to be installed rear axle torque arms. They're VERY well built & super sturdy - should totally eliminate any axle wrap that new Mast motor may want to inflict should I suddenly lose control of my right foot!!!

Here's a shot of the driver's side of the firewall as the mods are going in. If you look in the upper right you'll see the reservoir for the clutch master cylinder. Not fond of blue/red anodized stuff, so gonna have them look for a black fitting for it - I know, picky, picky....

Also planning to have them fabricate a cover for the wiring coming out of the firewall there.

Man I wish they'd clean my new shocks off - they're all dusty & look old & crappy....

And here's a couple of the overhead console getting mocked-up. The lower black panels with the lights will all be getting replaced with new ones from LMC Truck & then the bulbs will all be swapped out for LED's. This may require some trimming to fit my truck, but it's all getting recovered by Roman anyhow, so it'll look brand new when it's done!

Well here's how they decided to mount up the new Mast M90 ECM under the dash. You can also see the little custom mount they made for the new pedal assembly - thought it was a nice little touch & will look good all powder coated up too!

This things getting closer to being able to start & run - I can't freakin' wait!!! Will have to post a video of that one!!!

For the first time since this project has been going on I actually feel like craps getting done on my truck daily & we're beginning to see a little light at the end of this oh so long tunnel....

Obviously we missed the goal of getting the bed, hood, grille & a few other parts to Mario by the 1st, but with the toolbox issue, they aren't able to get the mounting stuff sorted out yet in the bed.

February was my goal, but leaning more towards May so that I can be home during my Son's high school graduation & if I am home in February, then I would miss that & I have NO plans of letting that happen!!!

There are a lot more shows around that time anyhow, so it would probably be for the best anyway.

On Monday Del will be shipping out most of my engine bay caps to a custom billet place to have caps made that match my power steering reservoir. Only thing I still need is the Wilwood master cylinder cap so they can re-anodize it red along with everything else.

Yep, have seen that product on here & on the 73-87 website. The shop likes to fabricate their own parts & sure this one will be no different - plus I have the clutch master cylinder pretty close to there which my present an issue. I did however send them a link on this as soon as I asked them for it for reference, so we'll see what they do.

Looks like we're not going with the aftermarket power window kit I purchased. Just doesn't fit well & we're concerned with how long it will hold up as it's a cable driven set-up...

Trevor has a guy with a cherry Suburban he's not using that has power windows, so we're basically going to swap out doors. They'll get painted anyhow, so no worries there. Will have the shop tear them apart to clean, inspect & lube everything - also will have new motors installed just for the sake of insurance from failing down the line. Plus they have to go in & replace all the door rubber & weather stripping as well - including the vent windows.

We will be using the wiring harness & switch assembly set-up from that power window kit though - want the switches to be installed on the front face of my center console along with my 3 rocker switches - hate the ones on the doors like the factory made...

New ididit column & Budnik wheel should be in this week, so maybe I'll get pics of them by Friday to post.

Uggg.....

It looks like I'll be "investing" in yet another billet badge for the truck. Wanna go with a custom polished billet inset for the passenger side of the dash with a textured center that's either painted of powder coated black.

Want Billet Badges to make me a badge with "Square Body" lettering to match what they used on the fender badge & then have a Bowtie at the end. Insidee of the lettering would be black as with the fender badge & the inside of the Bowtie could be red.

When whoever makes this does the textured surface in the center, they'd also have to machine a smooth area to match the badge I have made.

Already contacted Steve about making this badge & also contacted Ryan about doing some artwork for this as well as for the door panels as we've changed those up a bit.

We'll see what comes of it, but I just can't see putting a factory "Scottsdale" badge back on there.....

Found out that they're making my air box covers out of polycarbonate, so it'll be virtually unbreakable - especially considering how it'll be mounted down on there. Still though, I had them make 2 just in case once is ever damaged while servicing the air filter or whatever... Hopefully should have the pics of it this coming week!!!

My LS motor is "drive-by-wire" & requires the use of a late model pedal assembly with the built-in throttle position sensor. There is no direct linkage from the pedal to the throttle body.
