Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
I have missed a week or so....glad you didnt sell. Sometimes you just need a little help and the best part is it will be ready to go (at least up and down) when you get it back

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
I have not heard anything about Lemon Drop. But I did spend about 4 days cleaning my garage and reorganizing things. I even painted the rafters and inside of the roof white. It really brighten up the garage and it looks cleaner. I want to finish the walls and paint them and may even epoxy the floor.

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
Its good to know that Lemon Drop will have a nice clean place to come home to, I bet it is a strange feeling opening the garage and seeing a big empty space?

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
There is a little left to be done on the wiring. They are going to soak the engine internals with some oil (because it has been sitting semi dry for so long) and then tune and start the motor.
I went up to the shop last tuesday and drop off a few parts, including the drive shaft. Nothing really visual looks different with the truck except the fuse box is in its proper place, head lights installed and the new valve covers are on. I'm getting anxious about getting it back, because I want to hear the motor with that noisie gear drive.

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
I went to Somona County Hot Rods today, drop off some parts and got a surprise that put a smile on my face.
My ears are still ringing and I have a big smile on my face. I finally got to hear the motor that I originally built for a 67 Camaro 15 years. It purred like a Tiger, a loud tiger. Jeff is sending Lemon Drop to the muffler shop for a pair a Magnaflows and then sand, polish and fixed some oops spots in the paint. I should be able to drive it home.

That engine compartment is so clean! Where did you relocate the fuse box?

My next project for the truck will be to make some door panels from ABS and Fiberglass. I think I will try to make some kick panels and cover for the fuse block. I was cutting up some card board and came up with one possibility for the doors

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!
I think I did WD40 but I've heard thats not good. So maybe open the pan and make sure everything has a good amount of assembly lube. I remember someone saying something about coating the cylinder walls with something as well.
