It's funny that some things are more expensive and they shouldn't be. We were at a street market today and a guy wanted HK$150.00 ($150 Hong Kong Dollars) for a pair of Van's sneakers. That's right at $22 USD. I told him "listen homeslice! I pay $20 for those at the Van's store in San Diego California! Why would I pay that here in a street market?" Needless to say, we couldn't agree on a price.

I'm here on business and was at a store with the wife and now you guys have me so hooked on the little diecast trucks, I always look for them and I found this one here, who could resist the back story when I display it in the garage?
I'm just glad I didn't buy them all thinking they were rare!

And yes, good high-end chinese food is expensive. The question is, would you eat the cheap stuff?

Later,
Dave in Hong Kong

Y'all need to watch the stores for this Hot Wheels color variation of the Custom '62 Chevy. Oh, to remove the surfboard, just pull them straight back; not up.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

A silly little something I picked up at Carlisle. Not 67-72 and not diecast. It reminds me of a toad for some reason. This guy had some nice vintage pressed steel, like Tonkas and Buddy Ls.He had chopped and sectioned this out of a GMC semi. It`s just funk,GMC,and I had to have it...

Re: Die-cast 67-72

^^Dang Gov`t Mules^^

I think they`re all pretty uncommon.I got all mine except the latest silver issue from board members (because I wasn`t too lazy to look) since I just never came across any in stores.Swap meets are another good place to look for a couple extra bucks.Going against using gas to find them the prices aren`t bad.I never checked, but I believe these JLs are fairly limited production.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I don't have any pics. They are the same as the ones you already have, but they are fitted with white tire, white interior, and/or a white base. The only thing that makes them any more sougth after is that there are so few made. They do it with most of their cars. Out of the Blazers, I don't believe they have the White Lightning Version in the white park ranger version. Do and ebay search for White LIghtning and you can find some.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Here is a picture of all of the Blazers including the "white lightning" versions. Like Hook'em says the park ranger version doesn't have one. I also have the new John Deer Blazers coming soon. I can't wait to add those to my collection. I have quite a few extra white lightnings if anyone is interested. (Not cheap though) I also have several extras of all of the Blazers pictured for sale, along with the little Hot wheels stepside pickups. WES

That`56 Flashsider was back in the`90s,right?I have that one.One of my favorite keepers. Before these `69s that was most sought after Hot Wheels. They still are, they just have a new companion,as well as the`62.I`m happy Hot Wheels hs come around to making what I like.

Does anybody have a complete list of models made over the years? I know of quite a few, but I'm guessing there's some rare ones out there that I haven't seen.

Besides the chevy truck die cast, I have been collecting all of the pez die cast cars. My wife found on ebay and won the last one to complete my collection. I've been trolling for this for over a year, she found it in a couple weeks.

So,there`s two`56 Flashsider Treasure Hunts now?You say re-released.Do you mean it`s a new casting?Or,it`s just another paint scheme on the same model and a second Treasure Hunt version.Do you have a picture?
