Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.

Been busy with other projects.
Finally had some time to do sum investigating on the 1966 to see if it had a V-8 and what size.
Here's what I found out today.
The last pick shows V8 But is missing sum info...

Everything is together and I'm on the road. I'm starting to collect parts for the top end job the engine is going to need (I think I have bad valve guides or valve seals. Also the engine leaks oil like a sieve.) In the mean time, it gets me to the home improvement center, recycling center and parts store on the weekend.

Holy Mutha! Rip that body lift off and drop down to some 35" tires... or put some 1 ton axles under there.

Cool project.

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.

those are the old 44s it now sits on some bald tsl 38s and your right that body lift has gotta go they did the cab mounts awsome but the rest is scrap square tube and its not all cut the same so theres stacks of washers to keep the box level and the rad mount leans at about a 25% angle so itll all be redone

Just picked up, well I have been driving it all over, this nice 1966 K10 SWB stepside. 283, 4 speed.
Nice driving little truck but I need to quit playing and get to work on it.

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.

Newbie here....just picked this up from the original owner.

Everything is original except wheels and tires and those came with the truck.

292 cid w/4 spd. Originally a Canadian built truck, 1 of 80 built in that year.

Thanks

These are great pics and they are not UGLY. They Classic "Works of Art", true "Americana". I hope to see more. I'd like to know where I could find one to restore. -Jeff
