Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

SECURITY GUY - My 96 GMC Yukon, pictured in post #522 on the previous page is running 20x8.5's and 255-40-20's in front and 20x10's and 295-40-20's out back.

thanks to all involved in the group purchase deal, I have been wanting to wheel and tire my Yukon for over a yr now and just couldn't make up my mind which wheel I wanted and I was doing research on the Boss 338's and found this forum. with info and deals like I have found on this site I think I will stick around. The price was what made me pull the trigger on these whells and I'm glad I did.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

good news for those waiting for chrome...

They are starting to hit the warehouses. This set is 5x4.75. They don't have any 5x5 yet, but they expect them shortly!

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Got my wheels installed. 20x10 with 295-35-20 and 20x8.5 with 255-35-20 Nitto Invo's. I had the same problem with the hub bore. My dealer gave me 1/2 inch spacers and conical lugs. I think they they look sweet. I wish they made them in a 22. I really wanted 22's in the rear but all the big name wheels are way too expensive!

That looks awesome! I was leaning towards the 18's, but those 20's are awesome.
Love the truck!

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Is anyone else having issues with the new o-ring center caps not fitting that great? It seams the o-rings are to big and stretch out instead of tucking into the center bore like they should.

I bet that is one of my rims I ordered today. 20x10's and 18x8's in a 4.75 bolt pattern. I have a 71 camaro subrame and a disk brake 9 inch so it should be fine for my 56. I'm totally stoked!!!!! I'm surprised no one else has ordered this combo, Sublvr72 had to add too the website to get these ordered.

I have never bought, seen , used , a wheel spacer. Forgive my ignorance on the subject.
Question. Would longer studs be required on the rear when using a spacer?

the stock studs are ok. It is simply a 1/2 inch spacer that goes between the wheel and the hub. A conical lug nut has to be used instead of an acorn style. It has a shoulder to help keep it aligned. It worked for me but the best option is wait for the correct wheel, but i had tires already mounted and they told my dealer that there was only 1 of the correct wheel in the country friday. I did not require spacers on the rear so nothing changed there.

This spring was the rumor last fall, but that was before they had to retool everything. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a year from now before they're out ... and two years before they fit right.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Question for you...(Sublvr 72)

I have read that your the guy to talk to for info and pricing on wheels.

Do you know if they make the 330 in the correct 6 lug bolt pattern (Stock1969 short/fleet) and back spacing?

Probably going to do a 4/6 or 5/7 drop on the truck and I was looking at 20x8.5 for the front and 22x9 in the rear.

What do you think it would cost and take to get them to work?(shoot me a pm)

Thanks

Brandin
