Re: Maggie's Custom
Took her truck yesterday to get the massive door dents popped out (from having broken door stops) got it back today. The last of her parts showed up today so John and I are going to try and get the doors finished up tonight!! Stay tuned!!

Re: Maggie's Custom
Wow truck is looking great!!!nice progress and details you and Maggie are adding. I'm happy to see you guys driving this baby around! How does it ride???
Also I hate to be a pain but could you please take some measurement for me... Driveshaft, rear shock length, and a couple of pics of your shifter linkage please. Thank you in advance. I've been checking things off my list to reach my goal of being able to drive this thing in the spring..... Might take a couple steps back this winter to do a couple things I'd like to do....jam the doors clean up firewall ect. Thanks for the motivation can't wait to drive my truck too. By the way we need a video of her running!!!

Re: Maggie's Custom
I'll get that info for you this weekend!
We worked on the truck until 3:00 this morning, came to work at 7. I'm a little tired. We got the doors 98.9% done. Need some nutserts to intall the door panels as a few of them are missing. John had a used under dash A/C, heat unit. He installed it so she could have heat this winter. It works like a champ!!! When he gets going there is no stopping him. Jason I didn't take a single pic of said work. |

Thanks for the offer McMurphy, but I wanted it fixed before the show, so I installed rivnuts, worked perfect!!
Door panels, and door glass, all new rubber!! Used A/C, heat underdash unit from John, works like a champ. I'll get the A/C up and running next year!! More pics comming! |

Re: Maggie's Custom
So the brake rod was dragging on the brake pedal, fixed it, made the drive to the gas station.
I come out of the store and this is what shes doing!! Someone asked for Maggie in the driver seat!! Looks like a pro, waiting in line to get in!! A few of the cars in the crew we rode in with! She later said one of the best parts was driving in and driving out of the show!!! More to come!! |

Re: Maggie's Custom
So the truck has this killer drive line vibration, John and I changed the tail shaft bushing, didn't work, checked everything we thought it might be, nothing. I got to looking at the pinion angle and it had a bunch of postive angle, I was reaching but I wanted to fix it, when I went to pull the blocks out I noticed the trailing are twisted because of the bag placement, really the first time I had been under the truck with air in the bags. I didn't change the bushing and saw the arms were tounching the cross member, made a nice little shinny spot, I'm pretty sure this is the problem, new bushing on the way, gonna go with polyurethane.
We ahead and pied the block to correct the pinion angle, I'm sure this was not needed, but I wanted it right. One more pic coming!! |

Re: Maggie's Custom
Looks like you guys had a great time at the show! I was planning on going, but my 5 year old had other ideas. We went and rode go karts and pet puppies instead. Anyhow, truck is turning out great. It has kind of given me a little kick in the pants to get mine moving forward (slightly). Keep up the good work!!!!

Love the build. I'm a nut over the 64 to 66 trucks done this way as I have completed 2 of them and sold both. I also think its great that both of you are equally involved in the project. Please keep us updated and good luck !

Re: Maggie's Custom
We spoke about offers before the truck was done. I told her that she would get a few, so put a price tag on it, she said not for sale, she turned down a really fair offer Saturday.
