That was good enough for me to order it. I'm sure if I was looking for perfect show car gaps, it wasn't going to work straight out of the box, but it definitely works for what I have right now.
I'm happy the hood worked out for you. It looks so much better than stock If you need anything let me know!

The new hood looks great! I was really surprised how nice my tri-plus hood fit from all the horror stories I kept hearing about others.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10

Thanks guys!

I was able to get some more of the air management installed and buttoned up. Please excuse the dirt and rust underneath. This one is used often, and parked outside. On with the pics...

VU4 and computer mount:

Water trap mount, and some electrical and air line routing:

Electrical and other water trap mount:

Gauge air line routing into cab using old fuel line hole:

Air pressure gauges installed:

I haven't connected the bags to the VU4 yet. I wanted to test it and make sure the tanks and everything held pressure first. It's a good thing I did because the compressors wouldn't shut off. Not sure if it's a wiring thing, or a bad pressure switch. I've been over my wiring multiple times and I can't see anything wrong, so I'm thinking it's the switch. Have one ordered and on its way here. Just in case, I reached out to Travis at Pro Performance and he's going to get me some wiring schematics for the Accuair with Viair pressure switch. Neither set of instructions from either manufacturer show connection between the two systems, so we'll see if there's something wrong with my blending of the two later. Either way, I hope it's a simple fix.

I also have a small leak in one of the water trap fittings. I think I'll pull it and redo the thread sealant and re-cut the air line.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10

The wife let me put her car outside for the weekend so I pulled the truck in and got the air lines ran for all four corners. The Accuair SwitchSpeed is finally up and running!!! Works great too! I need to drive it a bit, check the ride height and get used to the air pressures I should expect, but I'm sure that will all work out just fine.

It took me way too long to get it done. I should have started this a long time ago. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner!

I'll try to get the wife to take a video. It's frigid here today though so I'm not sure how likely I'll be to convince her to get video this evening. I should be able to do pictures soon though. Drove it to work and aired it out in the parking lot.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10

Well, here are a couple of pics from today...

I left it at work tonight... I hopped in the truck to leave and got no response from the starter. Had to charge the battery a couple times this weekend so I thought it was the battery. Turns out the battery is fine, but the starter isn't kicking in. I've got a new one on its way. Should be here Wednesday, so I guess I'll be changing it out in the parking lot on Thanksgiving.

Thanks Hector, but it stays outside all the time, so no big deal.

I did get it fixed today. Well I have a couple of new parts anyway.

I replaced the starter and still had nothing. Since I never replaced the ignition switch with the one from the American Auto Wire kit, I thought that might be the culprit, so I ran home and grabbed the new switch, replaced it and still nothing...

After some discussion with my dad on the phone, we thought about the neutral safety switch. Turns out, the shifter had moved a bit and was not allowing the neutral safety switch to send the start signal through to the starter. This might have been the problem from the get go.

I now have a new starter and ignition switch that I may not have needed in the first place. I still need to adjust the neutral safety switch a bit, but it works again.

When it's something like the shifter just moving outta place at some point after being really pissed off you just gotta sit back and laugh your ass off.

Yeah, I felt so dumb, but actually laughed it off pretty quick and told my coworkers about it about 5 minutes after I got it started.

Me too. I'm also glad it's something pretty easy to fix. I was afraid for a little bit that I was going to need to solve a wiring issue. Glad it wasn't that!

Got new billet light and wiper knobs installed. These are some nice pieces made by a board member. I got lucky and got the last set he plans on making.

I also took a couple pics with the Christmas lights at night. Sorry, all I had was my crappy cell phone. This is "enhanced" from photobucket. Best I could do.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10

Got the cowl hood painted and on the truck!

It makes the rest of the truck look bad though. The rest of the truck looks better in pictures than it is.

Now I need to get started on panel alignment, and bodywork so I can get the rest of the truck painted.
