Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Spent all day Sunday and Monday at a HUGE SHOW with truch and trailer.
Photo report here. CLICK LINK: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=625828 So much interest in the truck. The teardrop trailer was the winner though with people waiting their turn at times to look at it or take a photo. Every time I take this truck out it pleases my heart.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Finally got my single deuce setup put on the other day. Still need to tune the carbs and such but man thing right now is no an old demon that has risen from the past. A broken exhaust bolt that mates the two manifolds together is making my truck sound like it has a knarley cam in it ( don't get me wrong sounds great but is a cop magnet in all aspects) video soon to come tomorrow.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Got the condenser and radiator mounted. Ordered mechanical fan and clutch. Need to swap out the 1 groove pulley on the power steering pump to a 2 groove.
On a side note: When did brackets get so effing expensive? I needed to get the a/c bracket for the compressor. Went to Alan Grove website and it is $95.00. Well in my anul mind the alternator bracket must match so there goes another $95.00. So it is $215.00 shipped eff me. Today I am going to start the vent wind repair / seals. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
It seems the new Mallory Igniiton in my truck went out. I put a Stock dist in and it runs great. I guess I will just have to change out the module in the Mallory.

Spent some time working on getting the exhaust kit installed. Learned how to use my new welder to weld some tubes. Hopefully finish tomorrow. I hate exhaust.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Spent Saturday wrestling with getting my upper and ,Lower control arm shafts re-installed, very, very frustrated as I wanted to have the front suspension completed this w/e, did a little research on the forum and found some great info posted by sharps.... It all makes sense now, great write ups by sharps. This forum is an amazing resource, fantastic source of information, and most importantly, a great community to be a part of. I will post some pictures and description of my experience with assembling the upper and lower control arm shafts in my build thread once completed.
