Re: post your 67-72 4x4
My old 72 burb! Factory BB, a/c front/rear, tilt, tach, was an original 2wd and I swapped to a 4wd frame. First pic is with 3/4 tons, 12" springs, 3" body lift with 42" super swampers. The truck drove really nice!! 2nd pic is with 2-1/2 ton rockwells, with 6.38'a, lockers front and rear and 44" boggers. This thing was a blast in the river!! I should have some better pics somewhere

Originally olive green, might paint it white. or green w/white roof. It was an original 307, 3 on the tree. It has a mercruiser 350 in it now with a SM465 tranny. Yes, actually a re-manufacturer mercruiser boat motor. The block is from the 1998 so I don't think it has that many miles on it. I think I'm going to repair the rust and make it a daily. I want to remove the home made bumpers and install some used bumpers. The toolbox was made by a boat mfg. actually has a live well in it, how crazy it that?

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Its an interesting color because it seems to be the same as mine. A better pic of mine is one page sooner. I keep getting asked what the name of the color is and i just them the "UK Blue", which works pretty well here in kentucky. I did not paint it, I bought it that way.
I do like the white roofs and would love to see a short step-side painted that way. Please post a pic if you do go with that paint scheme What do you know, a step-side with a live well and a mercruiser. Are you sure it won't float? |
