Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
I started on the grill and got it sanded and in primer...
Trying to decide what colour to go with this... Initially thought silver, but then kind or rethought black with yellow bow tie. I further thought if I went the black/yellow combo I would go to our local sign shop and have them cut me a reflective yellow decal to put in. What do you folks think?

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
I'm a big fan of yellow and love the shade you're using, but it does need some contrast to keep it from being too much. I'd do the grill just like in this pic. If it were me, GM rally silver wheel paint on the grill, the yellow you're using in the yellow shown here, and gloss black where it is black now. Maybe outline the black bowtie in the grill with yellow to accent it and add some detail.

Brushed the floor with thinned out Tremclad, self levels well. Will need a second coat though.

Quote:
Bumper cost is $413.22 Shipping/handling cost $268.55 via truck freight from California to Ontario, Canada. I may see what the shipping is to Mission Texas where my parents winter and then get them to bring it back with them... This makes it a pricey part... With that in mind, I am trying to put together a deal on this front bumper.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Tailgate done... Time to start assembling and getting this ready for the road.
I have ordered new weatherstrip for the doors/windows, new door handles, locks and some other accessories. Hope they arrive soon. Get the doors put back together and the glass back in. Wire up some lights. Getting closer to the fun stuff. I am looking forward to putting the interior back in the truck.
