The truck looks great Rob! What size master cylinders are you running for the brakes?

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
It's a Wilwood tandem pedal set with a balance bar. 3/4" front, 7/8" rear. It feals good, takes a bit of adjustment to get it right.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Great to see you guys got the truck done and to the event on time. Sounds evil and gets along pretty darn well. Great work. Definitely a new standard by which all other performance trucks will be judged.
On my drag cars with electric water pump drive & electric fans I usually set them up with a Hypertech low temp fan switch to turn them on in addition to a manual control switch. The one I like is designed for third gen TPI Camaro's and comes on at 176 degrees & off at 166. The fans & water pump drive come on & go off when they should without having to remember them and the manual switch allows me to turn them on in the pits and cool things down when needed. Depending upon how you wire the thermostatic switch it can continue to function after key off or stop working when the key is off and the fans & pump will only function when the manual override switch is flipped. I like the last option as you can cool the thing down even further than the low cut off point of the thermostatic switch while in between passes. A dash mounted indicator light is a good idea so you can tell when they are on and if they are coming on when they should to trouble shoot the system when things break.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
So, today I started tinkering. I built the truck with 500lb springs in the front, and 200 lb in the rear. Probably seamed like a good call one night. After scaling the truck, 2930lbs now, 1550 up front, 52.9%, I checked RideTechs spring rate calculator. It says 350, and 175. Hmm, not so close up front. So I thought I'd change the fronts to 400 lbs (don't have any 350's around, besides, I'm concerned that may be too soft) As I was working on changing the springs, I spotted something else that we missed. When you assemble a set of Ridetech coil-overs for the first time, you have to screw the rebound adjuster knob all the way in to get the spring collar past it and onto the shock. Then you need to unscrew it back to 'zero', and adjust it in from there. If you forget to do this, at any hour of the night or day, with the adjuster all the way in, the shock is set with the rebound at 'max tight'. I have to say, I couldn't pull these apart for my life! 28 clicks back to 'zero' and 6 clicks in for now. Guess what, now, if i push down on the front end, it actually moves, and comes back up nice and smooth. Yep, it's a novice mistake, I'm almost afraid to go work on the back. later.

In the short amount of time that you fabricated , painted, and assembled this truck, I think ANYBODY would have missed way more than that!

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Rob it was fun to see the truck at Del Mar and to talk to you about it. It had been a while since I checked on the progress of this project and I was stunned to see it all together and painted. It is cool to read about your progress and see you pictures but it is an entirely different experience to see it in person. You have really put together an awesome truck I can't wait to see the numbers you put up once it gets all dialed in.

Cup holders are not the problem, it's in flight fueling! If we can work out the transfers, we be back on your side of the big hill. Going to the dyno tuesday at Westech. Plowed any corn with 'ol blue yet?

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
It would Almost be worth it to transport a FAST truck back to ? where? to kick you off the Banks and back to the barn. But then your mom would call and complain, and people would call me a bully, bla-bla-bla. Smitty is Ok as long as you don't let him run an auto trans, then he gets into this whole sun-god thing. Mother Trucker 2012, I like it.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Load ur up and hook er up to that mobile home and head this way big boy ,you can park at the shop and I'll give you a ride to airport after Nashville, then you'll only be 7 hours from Des Moines. I told Smitty I'd come up there and help him cut up that c-10 he's building but he wants a pretty boy truck you better have a word with him. How long did it take you to steal the dyno yesterday? Well I'll let you chew on my offer I know it's a long way for 2nd place but just think of the fun well have beatin up all those Camaro's!!!!

Re: No Limit's "K-10"
Highlight Real: OK, so yesterday we put it on a dyno at Westec Performance. These guys really know there stuff. Right from the start, the first pull was 328hp, 352tq at the tire. Thats about what the 'Bullit puts down. Not to bad, but a bit on the low side for an LS. First thing - the ECU was locked, previous tuning took it's toll. Off the the bone yard for a new-used ECU, $100 bucks. Quick flash and a pull, 366/371. - Has a definate miss. Broken rocker arm? no, pulled all the plugs, went to a colder NGK, then found the dead coil. Had some used spares. BTW, the #8 plug is a bit*h to change. Runs clean now. They took the time to scale in the MAF, and then another full pull. 394/392. Now it was real tuning time. Part throttle, midrange, fuel consumption...... I was happy that it never got over 220 degess with all of the running under load, it was 92* here. The final numbers were 418 hp @ 6450, and 408 Tq @ 4900. The torque is above 400 at 3450, and stays up above 375 'till 5800. All this on 91 octane pump gas.
Then it was road test time. We drove it from Westec to Adams Motorsports Park, about 15 miles, 10 on the fwy. No trouble, rides great, new gears in the quickchange are much quieter. At AMP we ran about 20 laps on and off to feel it out. All was going great then as I was getting a little more comfortable, SNAP, I busted a sway bar link! I guess economy rod ends aren't up to it. So that was it, then a 22 mile drive home, no trouble. All in all a good day/night.

Great progress! Amazing what you can find out on those dynos. Gonna be unstoppable once you're REALLY dialed in! Whens the next time on the main stage?
