Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I actually checked out eBay and got a near perfect "looking" one for a hole filler on my dads truck. We arent sure if it works or not, but I only payed $35!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Thats what the radio delete plate is for. I had one painted just in case, and its been there for a year now. As for getting distracted to add other parts to the truck... don't sweat it. It all has to go back on eventually. BTW< I might have the holley plug you need, PM me if you haven't already ordered a new one.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Truck is looking sweet dude! You're soooo close, yet soooo far! This is the toughest thread to keep up with. I just went camping for a few days and it's blown up again. Props on your first trophy and all them sponsors you've gotten! If you finish this thing and drop off the face we're all gonna be yanked. We like all the fluffy, new shiny assembly pictures and such, but what's missing in large across this board are the drivers. I wanna see how all this hard work lasts with some miles. A year ago I would have argued "if it isn't used as a truck then it's not much of a truck", but my build is prolly going to put me in the same boat as most. Even though, I will put miles on the thing and will have to maintain / repair / replace a lot of the stuff I'm doing now and will report. We expect the same outta you. Now git that Chebby fired and lets see what you've got!
Johnny

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Looks like your still chugging right along. Wanted to say thanks again for those pics tonight. They helped out with positioning and such. I get my bracket laid out, just have to bend it paint and install it. It will be much cleaner than vintage air's set up.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
made alot of great progress this weekend...although it doesnt really look like it ! Got my Porterbuilt hinge buckets bolted back in. Hooked up all of the cables and wiring for my Vintage air unit, got it tucked way up under the dash so you dont see much of it !! Started mocking up my ac and heater hoses. Worked on wiring some more , i know you cant tell much from this picture but the wiring under the dash is coming out pretty tidy and very organized, i will get better pictures when it is complete so i can prove this statement ...LOL ! Windshield wiper motor and arms all back in place. Ignition switch, wiper switch, headlight switch all installed. Ac condensor mocked up for hose routing purposes...anyway progress is progress !!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Gotta say, after seeing the contrast with the orange and white- you chose the right color for this truck- just different enough, but still has that 'classic' feel. Looks great!
