Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I got my new back wheels on, new screws on the inner door panels, passenger side thinggy that keeps the door from opening too far, new door handles on, new gas cap, new glove box rubber stoppers. Didn't get to dye the seat black or paint the glove box door, maybe tomorrow. I also need to get the front tires turned around so the letters are inside.

Well I hear rusty screws are better than having rusty nuts.

Looks like a good time of day, truck is cool, but what's with all the tractor's (semi's) in the back ground.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Thanx! One is my neighbors "yard art" and the other is his work truck. Funny how his yard truck showed up the day after I closed on my house and the guy across the street told me it had been gone since the house was for sale. What a tool! The little Toyota is his sons that he feels he needs to park 3 feet into my driveway and wont move. I might have to come blasting in with my 4x4 and smash his little jap truck all to hell.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Yeah I'm hoping to get the tires turned around tomorrow. Not a fan of the RWL's.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
waiting on my headers, should have got them today. not much to take pictures of, just doing all the wiring for the choke, fan, fan relay, and hei. had to figure out the gas pedal/carb linkage, all the old stuff was trash... got all the heater/rad hoses installed. also got two 40 series flowmaster to install but want to get the headers back first. this will cool up to 600hp so i shouldnt have any problems.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
made some progress yesterday but working some issues like no dipstick and such. the headers with the jet hot coating, inside and out....they have that "hammered" finish....better know as pitting from being so rusty from before......some people pay for stuff like that and no that is not my blood on the floor..this time. also the engine is starting to come together. it started on the first try. it sounds nasty with the old muffles...cant wait to hear it with the flowmasters.
hope everybody is enjoying the weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I was going to a car show, got about 10 miles and stopped for gas. Reached for my wallet, not there. Great! Decided to go home to get it, my starter wouldn't work. It wouldn't engage so I tapped a couple of time and got it started. So I came home and pulled it out. Decided to watch the Texans smack the Ravens.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got the cab off the frame and on the trailer. Then, I removed the cross member.
Also got an oven from a friend of mine so I can start powder coating. Gonna take the crossmember to my buddy's shop so I can work on it on the big bench and use the paint room. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Started installing the front suspension. Realized CPP sent me '71-87 ball joints and '63-70 spindles. Dealer not open today, so I'm in a holding pattern.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Drove it up to Dubai for the Gulf Bike Week; went to enter my bike into the custom bike competition... my bike did not place. But I had a great drive and arrived in 'style' and had no truck problems thankfully. I had so many 'thumbs-up' and photos taken as I drove the 146 miles, the drive and many conversations I had about the truck were more enjoyable than the actual show!
Cheers! going coming home |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I put the new speedometer gear in and got the front wheel bearings in. I can feel the difference they were so bad.
