Started in on the rot repair on my '64. The floor is now solid to the rocker. Next is to rebuild the inner & outer rocker.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Did nothing to my truck cause I traded it for a 67 Acadian coupe. Total resto with a few extra's, looking at buying my buddy's 68 2wd, so will still be around but the big flamed beast is gone to a new home. No haters haha, love all Chevy's and a few others. Mostly love to build cool hotrods.

Just have to find a spot for the truck and stay married.

The front fender looks like a 66 south of the border. The 67s down here had a deeper recess at the bottom of the headlight door. I love that body style. Nice trade.

I did this

Waiting on my CPP order

I also repaired the steering box area where a P/S box was just mounted to the frame

that's not bubble gum welding at the front of the Capt fab bracket, its some extra holes left behind...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

got the crate motor install bout done, lots of little issues but was able to work them all out one at a time. ran out of time today so i just have to put the hood on in the morning then bring her home from the shop, connect the front turnsignal wires back up and put the front bumper back on then give her a bath. installed the flowmasters today and made some turndowns until i figure out what pipes i want to run. good enough for the goodguys show. that thing has nuts and sounds nasty.

updated

drove my truck home yesterday from the shop where i put the crate motor in about 35 miles to the west. stopped and had new custom tailpipes installed, they guy did a great job and it sounds bad ass. the truck ran perfect, no problems/leaks/funny noises, then re soldered the hood wires that i cut when i took the hood off, had to put on a small air cleaner, the 14 incher was hitting the plug wires on the distributor. maybe i can find a higher base plate this weekend. this morning i will reinstall the front bumper then wash it. ready for the goodguys show this weekend in charlotte.

Yeah I shot that with an iPhone app called Instagram that lets you apply some filters and add a border. The app was bought by Facebook earlier this year for a BILLION dollars. I don't think they had but about 20 employees. You could buy some really cool trucks with that kind of cash!
