Re: Show us your projects
Plus on top of all the cool green the steering wheel is also cool. Not much of a green man...until your truck, nice. Very nice.

Just installed a Dakota digital gauge so I can adjust ride hight without getting out of the truck. Also added a new shift knob to match the green theme. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Show us your projects
Look at 98 to about 2003 Astro van if you want comfort. 2nd and 3rd row fit perfectly in the cab (1.5" per side to spare), and have a nice built in flip down center console with cupholders. That's what we used in the kids truck.

Re: Show us your projects
luv the truck and the inline in there. as for seat, if you wanna stick with bench, as I prefer for looks, a 73-88 chevy works, just make some braces for it and set it lower than factory, plus there isn't as much padding so it gives you more depth.

Re: Show us your projects
1953 Gmc 5 window. The story with this one is a long one. I grew up in the same small town my father did. This truck was originally owned by j.neils timber company. My grand father purchased the truck from j. Neil's in the late 50's for $500 my grand father and father rebuilt the engine in 59'. My father was given this truck for his first. He owned it for 5 more years when he enlisted in the army. He sold it to a friend of his. When he returned from Vietnam the truck had again been sold to another high school friend. After losing track of the truck his friend came to him and asked if he was interested in purchasing it back for $500. The truck has been sitting for many years and scavengers have taken Some parts. Intention is to return it to the glory days with a new automatic trans and the original engine

Re: Show us your projects
great truck and even greater story. I'll give just about anything to have an old vehicle of my grandfathers.

Re: Show us your projects
that is a great story, very lucky to have the truck back and a 5 window too, should be a nice build that will continue to mean a lot to you for years to come.

Very nice 55 1st edition Steve, looks more like an old hotrod than just a truck, cool truck. Like the doors.
