Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I feel like I'm hoggin the CL thread, but I just keep finding ones I like (and that you should buy, so I don't!) Anyhoo, this COULD be a nice K10 Cheyenne Super with some re-work. Price isn't bad for a non-crusty 72 K10 at the top of the trim totem pole - unfortunately, someone went to a lot of trouble to make it a deluxe two tone white/med olive. But it was a 556 to begin with. Oh my. Sure wish they'd redone in original colors. Would look like my dream truck (except in a 1/2 rather than 3/4 ton size). Anyway, needs a seat, could live with the paint for a while, would be a rare bird with the correct paint. Enjoy: http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/5547217273.html Btw, looks like the tow hooks are gone, so that should drop the price about $1000, right????
EDIT: Ya know.. perhaps I'm sounding a little (negatively) biased on this truck based on what I would have done with it. Just want to clarify, I think this is a pretty good deal - especially if someone wants the paint as it is. I'm just a 556 freak, so that's why this truck jumped out at me. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
IMHO it isn't, based on a 01/2014 ad inquiry. Doesn't sound like it has had much improvement since. Ads were up for months before and 23 days this run unsold.... Had two people interested at a much lower price until we tried to get a shipper quote out of oak harbor.

I just looked it up and they were 140"WB Super Camper Specials or Trailer Specials. Crazy full spare tire in the passenger bedside!

Thanks for posting all these trucks. This is one of my favorite threads. I definitely have a wandering eye when it comes to these old Chevrolets!

Too spendy for my blood. Do think the suicide doors are interesting, though the outside handle location would confuse me.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
At $600 this bread truck could be an interesting project. No title or VIN would make it real hard to register in this state however.
