I went with the gray center, I like the chrome but the whole wheel changes in my eyes when chrome. It seems like you lose the lines of the spokes cause of all the reflections.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Leviticus, thanks for the info. I called and spoke with Dave, pretty cool guy.
After speaking with Dave it has been confirmed that there are the 'new -03' boss 338 in stock in warehouses, BUT only in gray. Both 20x8.5 and 20x10 are available, he said they are selling FAST though. Both chrome and black won't be available for 'a few weeks' which could be months.

Dave confirmed pricing for a set of 4 20x8.5 shipped is $720.00. (I asked for permission to post that)... AGAIN, IN GRAY ONLY!!!

As far as group buy goes, maybe we shouldn't start throwing out who wants to buy what until we establish a vendor who will be able to accommodate this large of a purchase. I spoke with Dave about that also and he said right now it wouldn't be possible for him for two reasons:
1. Stock in warehouses just isn't plentiful yet
2. Retailers barely make enough money as it is on this wheel

All vendors have access to the same warehouses, so sourcing will be an issue regardless of vendor. We don't even know what "this large of a purchase" even means until we know who wants to buy what, so telling people not to speak up is not just counterintuitive but counterproductive.

Everyone's in the same boat with the current limited supply, so the sooner we get going, the sooner the vendor we choose can start sourcing the wheels. Obviously we're not gonna have wheels shipped next week, since the 20x10 and the other finishes aren't even available yet, but if we get a plan in place, our vendor of choice can place his order and have a lot better access to getting what we need at the best possible price as soon as the wheels are available, as compared to each of us going out on our own and fending for ourselves.

Of course, I could be wrong.

*** GROUP BUY INFO ***

I have started a new thread for the group buy on these Boss 338 wheels in order to (try to) keep things clean and focused and also to maybe draw more attention to the group buy to increase our numbers and thereby decrease our costs.

That's their everyday price. You can do better on eBay and hopefully quite a bit better than that with a group buy.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Has anybody priced the 20x8.5 and the 20x10's in chrome. The prices I've got are more than any of the ones people are posting on here. I have the 1 inch rotors and will take a set of the old ones if I can find some. Im so sick of waiting and its getting really hard to hang on to my money I have put aside.

There are lots of them on eBay in the $1000 range as long as you don't mind the old revision. The new revision in chrome won't be out for weeks or possibly months.

You might need to get creative and ask a vendor to put together a staggered package for you. The staggered packages listed currently are $699, but (for example) this vendor has (4) 18x8 for $597 and (4) 18x9.5 for $606; I'm sure they'd give you two of each for around $600 shipped if you asked nicely and maybe suggested that you could get them elsewhere for that price if they didn't want your money.

(Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the above company; just the best price I found on eBay at the moment.)

Just checked that vendor and they had the staggered for $606. I'm glad you brought them to my attention.

Coolio! Didn't see their staggered package, but sometimes even the best eBay search doesn't bring up everything because of poor ad-writing by the sellers.

I'm waiting to see what they can do for me on a staggered set of 20s.

The only thing I didn't check for those was the bolt pattern, but I'm sure if I call them they could set me up with the right ones.

Hey, guys! Wanted to post a heads-up that the group buy is a definite go and I just posted prices in the GB thread.

Did I mention we're getting them at wholesale prices?
