Re: most original 60-66 truck in existence?

as you can see on page 2 post 80 of this thread i owned this exact truck 10 years ago this month. i sold it with the agreement if he ever considered selling it than i would have first right of refusal. he is a man of his word so i again own the\is 1965 mostly original truck except repaint. he put 1725 miles on it in 10 years! still under 60,000 orig miles
first pic was in 2011, the other 3 pics are now 2021. enjoy!

This is one of the most og trucks I have come across. Shows 45k miles, doubt it has rolled. Been inside its while life. My plan was a 4x conversion with a totally stock look but I don't have the heart to mess with it

One of those time capsule type of vehicles! Note the factory options on this one: bumper guards, inside tire carrier, western mirrors, back up lights and 3 piece heavy duty 15" rims. Like the period topper and step bumper also!

Thanks guys. It really is an amazing truck, absolutely never messed with at all. Hopefully I can get over my nervousness of something happening to it and drive it some

Re: most original 60-66 truck in existence?

This for me was the best part. I didn't even know any of it was there until I got it home and started really looking it over. I tried looking up the original owners address but I can't figure it out...

We add to the option list. 292, 4 speed, fluid to wipers, passenger side arm rest. May have the custom comfort option and heavy duty rear springs.

Used only during the season and stored in a shed the rest of the year.

Re: most original 60-66 truck in existence?

Question for purists out there..

On the original inline 6's was the intake manifold bare cast iron or painted to match the engine?

I've seen painted and unpainted examples but I have not found confirmation either way of what was factory stock.

Intake was engine color and painted same time as the engine. Which leads me to believe the exhaust manifold on a 6 cylinder was also painted engine color as it was most likely an assembly. Great question!

Thank you! I've look throughout the internet and could never find an answer. Hopefully that will help someone else's Google search
