Took the trucks first big trip today (250 miles round trip) with about 800 pounds in the bed. Managed to put down 14.2 mpg as well. Ran great no problems!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
I picked up this 77 sport a couple months ago from a friend. I am the 3rd owner. Second owner, my friend only had it for about a year.
I just found out the other day the knot head took the original stripes off of it. And put these bad bow tie stickers and pin stipe on it. I could have strangled him. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1446606176 |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Like many of the trucks on here it's a never ending build... My fiance bought it for me as a high school graduation present when we were 18, it was in really rough shape and had been sitting in a field for 10 years. I started the frame off resto and over the course of 8 years it was finally road worthy and painted. The last 4 years have just been fine tuning and small details, still lots left to do... The below pic is not long after it was painted, I don't have any pics of the interior or underside on my computer. It's pretty much all stock other than the lift some headers and the cowl hood (which I hate, anyone got a good stock hood they want to trade!?).

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
We tested the 20 ton PTO driven winch by pulling down an old house...Don't let the looks fool you. It has a 060 over 350 with extremely worked heads, the dually rearend has 513's with a granny 4 speed..I might make her look better one day but 6 tires can be expensive....

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Here's "Obadiah". It's a '86 GMC Sierra Classic. I finally got him dropped last week (All Belltech, 4/6 drop, Spindles, Coils, Shocks and Flip Kit). I have found some 22x9.5" wheels with tires on CL for a great price but after combing tons of threads and searching other sites, I'm still unsure of the proper backspacing, front and rear. Most of the threads were from the 67-72 guys (good insight, no doubt) but I would like to hear from the 73-87 Squares. Thanks for any and all help--Jay2Cor517

I'm running 4.5 front and 5.5 rear with no issues. I know fronts are ideal 4.5-5.5.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Yes, 13mm is the offset and 5.75" is the backspacing. I should have clarified those numbers. I will contact the seller once more to verify. Thanks UKNOWME, the advice/help is really welcomed.
