Re: norms 55 chevy pu build
Time for some LED headlights, spendy little buggers.
After that i decided to hook up some wires to the front lights. Pleasant way to spend a Sunday, in a warm shop with country music. |

Re: norms 55 chevy pu build
I have 2 systems. PSI harness for the engine and Painless for the rest, lights radio etc.
Since the PSI has everything on the engine covered I'm thinking I won't use several wires from the Painless harness. they include: electric choke. regulator exiciter. alt. regulator - - PSI has wires that plug into the alt. coil + ignition- hot - LS has 8 coils all plugged into PSI temp sender - PSI has a plug into the temp sensor tachometer to coil. oil sender - Dakota Digital has a seperate oil sensor and wires. cooling fan relay - PSI has a wire for that relay and the other is to switched hot I'm thinking I won't use these wires, thoughts? |

Re: norms 55 chevy pu build
I’m planning to use the ignition coil power as the switched ignition to my EFI computer on my truck. Electric choke feed could be repurposed as an accessory ignition feed.

I spoke to a speed shop/ tuner person, and he agrees I will not use the 8 wires I have listed so re-purposing them will work. |
