BUt it will be fun to find out. Your truck will beat on my poor heap lol. Gonna try and do some more tuning on it this week to get it right haha

In all honesty..I think my car is slow. Just dont have the funds to do what I want with it right now.

It should run a 12.90-13.0 on a good day now that I have a new clutch and tires comin on Saturday.

its basically stock, just intake and exhaust.

you work close to edmond/uco sorta right? i'm moving up there on saturday and sunday. after that i should usually be up there till summer

The highest I ever spun the 454 was 7800rpm with a stick on 275/60/15's leaving a Rustang and my friend in his Malibu.

The LS-1's haul butt and could hand a 73-87 truck owner his a$$ anyday when it comes to topspeed on the highway, simply due to aerodynamics.

My car can regularly take most anything on takeoff (5,000 rpm clutch drop in an AWD car is awesome). It can take a stock late-model Mustang, keep up with a stock automatic LS-1 Firebird/Camaro, but a stock M6 LS-1 car with a decent driver is awefully quick. A stock WRX STi could do it (13.2sec @ 103mph).

What is fun is smoking cars and trucks from a stop if it is pouring rain or snow, or even if the asphalt is a tad wet.

Top speed on a highway isn't too impressive to me. What impresses me is driving that quick on ice, snow, or gravel.

I had a Mach 1 almost a quarter century ago, that I got on a 3 mile downhill straight at about 11pm in the country, went just a shade past the limit on the speedo. The limit was 160. Steerign felt locked, and the car felt as if it were floating, guess it was the tires expanding at the speed. So many things could have ended that ride quick.. Ahhh, to be 17 and stupid again... Not all 17 year olds are stupid, but I was.. A few weeks later fell alseep at the whell, and flipped it. Cost me a broken spine... Now that I'm older, I don't speed with the kids.. but you gotta admit, getting that truck up there sometimes is a thrill...

yeah i used to be 17 and stupid, well in a speeding sence, i figure that once cops start following you around time, its time to hang up your hat and call it a day.

Well, after you lose someone in an accident, you tend to slow down and realize that the vehicles in front of you have people in them. People with parents and kids. It's just not worth the risk.
