Here's my combo...... Impala SS factory rims which are 17" x 8.5" with 5.125" backspace. Tires are 265/65/17. I had 31 x 10.5 on 15 x 8 ralleys and the new combo sits higher, rides smoother and absolutly tracks straight with no vibration.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info
Already Gone, I only come up with .88" difference (28 vs 27.1). Also, remember that the only half of that (to the center) will impact the vehicle height.

..Here is how I figured it out. Let me know if I missed something. 275mm=10.82in tread width x 60%= 6.49in. Therefore 6.49(ground to rim)+6.49(top of tire down to rim)+15.00rim diameter = 27.98in.Rear tire 235mm=9.25in tread width x 60%= 5.55in. Using same formula as above 5.55 + 5.55 +15.00 = 26.1in front tire............... 27.98-26.1 = 1.88.. I've always figured it like this and I use .03937 x the tread width for my inch measurement.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info
Yep, your right, I used a 16" wheel on my spreadsheet for the smaller tire, thus the 1" error. Nonetheless, a 1.9" overall height difference will equate to only half of that difference (less than 1") in body height. This is because only one sidewall contributes to the distance to center at any one time.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info
My Car Craft a month or two ago said they were amazed at how many cars were running 15" wheels again, and that a majority of them were crager s/s wheels!

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info
Here's another 4x4 entry. '71 Sub 1/2 ton. 4 inch Skyjacker lift. 15x8 wheels (standard backspace) and 35x12.5 Goodrich All Terrains. No rubbing and rides great. The 35s make the 3.73 gears feel a little inadequate when I tow the race car, but it does it.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info
Great freekin idea.. I am trying to decide what size of rubber to put on my truck and have been wondering if there was such an easily accessible way to compare.. You'd almost think tire shops would have something like this for their customers. Probably will,,,,,, some day.
