No doubt man. I was thinking the same thing. I have an extra cut off wheel, die grinder, blow gun and a 3/8 air rachet collecting dust. (DON'T buy craftsman air ratchets.....TOTAL POS. Harbor Freight ones last longer)

If, I was able to, I'd ship myself down to help work on the truck. It's great how everybody steps up to help one of our own...

I have a friend at work, "Mac" one of the other meat cutters, "give" me an old dresser. I was basically left with NO furniture as it was all his, lol... the dresser is an old one, all real wood, real basic and in ruff shape, I bought some paint stripper and am trying to clean it up to use, its gonna look sharp. I have all my clothes in apple boxes in my room, LOL!! Point is... I thought this was a sweet thing for him to do ( and it is) It really touched my heart. What yall are doin for me is so wonderful, its hard for me to find words to express myself. I "owe" every one of you, I just dont know how to say thank you, the mere words just dont get it. Yall have given me new hope for my truck, THANK YOU!!!
take care, junk

Nothin wrong with the apple boxes. My first bed as a baby was a dresser drawer! I bet dad slammed it shut on me a couple of times too. lol
Sometimes I wish I could still fit in a dresser drawer and close it for a while. lol

Been through the furniture thing.
I spent the first two weeks of seperation sleeping on the floor. I had a blanket, pillow, two sheets, a pillow slip, my stereo, tv, computer and my clothes. 3 years later -- my home may be decorated in "Early American Yard Sale," but I have all the bedrooms and common rooms furnished. lol

I Can Understand That!
When my ex announced she wanted a "New Life", she changed the locks on the house while I was at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. She was planning a big Valentine's Day weekend with the boyfriend she thought I didn't know about.
I had to take leave, roadtrip home, and hire a locksmith to break into my own home. I grabbed my clothes, tools, 'puter, and my guns and took off. All while she was having a romantic weekend with this chuckle head. When she returned, she had the guts to accuse me of acting in an underhanded way. The look on her face in court when my attorney started telling details of her weekend was priceless!!

My clothes have been in boxes for over a year sittin in the basement...other clothes hanging from a broom stick supported by 2 bike hanging hooks. I know exactly what you're talking about. If It wasn't for my mom and dad being right around the corner I'd be sleeping in my car.

I wish shipping stuff wasn't so damn expensive. Is there a way we can get a list together of what's been gathered up thus far? I've gotta do something to help, but I don't know which direction to go. Andy, if you can get on tonight before I hit the hay, we should shout at eachother on yahoo....

if they are gonna be in my area we could put together a pallet & ship it via Fed-Ex freight. they are right next to me at work.
Jodie, should I check & see if there is any furniture I am not using. any parts you need that I may have collecting dust? Shawn, are you following this?

TJ...you should look into DHL for shipping...I sent a 20 pound tilt column from here (columbus ohio) to tenn, and it only cost 7 bucks! 2 to 3 days travel time.
you just can't beat that. As far as parts....Jodie will have to jump in on this one....all i know is she said she could use a tune up...but we have no idea what air filter or plug number he uses. |

A list of things sent would help the others decide what to send.
