Re: My truck
Nice trucks. And welcome from Northeast Tennessee. I like those bedsides. I wouldn't mind putting one on my ride. But I'd say shipping would be EXPENSIVE.

Re: My truck
What does BRAVA mean? It's on most of those adds.
On that orange panel truck, do I see a back wall and back window inside? This IS an awsome thread. |

Re: My truck
Some neat trucks. I really like the one that has the four doors and the box one. Also I am wondering if you speedo is in miles per hour or km/h.
Welcome from Canada.

Re: My truck
WOW! Really cool stuff. They all look a little odd to us because of the differences in the American versions. The 67 is a real freak. It uses parts off of an early 60 Nova....

Re: My truck
I had no idea these trucks had that kind of following outside the US. Very nice pictures and quite intresting to see how the Argentina truck style varies from the US style.

Re: My truck
Welcome from Oregon!
Wow - some of those are really cool to see - I really like the dark green Suburban you posted - (with the rear tire that juts in the door) There has been some discussion on here about making a modern style Tahoe - looks like Chevy beat us to the punch! That candy apple green truck has a super sweet dash. And the "brava" on all the ads cracks me up!

Re: My truck
Welcome from Arizona. I lived in Argentina for a little over two years as a missionary. I saw those trucks and Novas (Super Chevy) all over the place and I couldn't get over how good of shape they were in. That is what got me into these trucks here. What years did they produce the style of your truck? What part of Argentina do you live in? I lived in Mar del Plata, Tandil, Bahia Blanca and in smaller towns in the Pampas. I miss your Country and the People. Do you have any pictures a truck with the natural gas conversion? I saw a lot of those as well. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
Oh yea! I almost forgot......Boca Junior or River? Last edited by ecameron87; 07-24-2006 at 05:37 PM. |

Re: My truck
Hello! Nice to meet you, It's great that you knew Argentina and its people. I'm from Buenos Aires
Well the shape of the trucks is not very good, becuse of the years that have and for the porpouse they were made, they subsist becuse you can still use for work and for the people that has less posibilities to buy new trucks, they are very good as work tool, then you have other people than us that we want to restore them and use them for hobbie, but it's always the same thing with your family saing why do you buy that crap ha ha, but they don't understand this. To clear for all the people that reads this, you can make the conversion to natural gas, but you can still use with gasoline, it works with both, and you can also change between the two fuel while you are driving, the price of the natural gas is a 25% of the regular gasoline and it doesn't contaminate (it is gas takeen from inside the earth) Ok greetings to you and nice to meet you again. PS: no Boca or River I'm from CLUB ATLETICO HURACAN!!! |

Re: My truck
hi everyone!! I'm Bruno, and I'm also from Argentina, i met this forum by GMCBsAs. i introduced my self in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=206434
here is some data about things that you asked: this line of c10's were produced between 1967 and 1973, they were also knew as Chevy Brava (like you said, it means fearless, brave). during this years there were some changes in the front, the same than in the US, only that the second front lasted one more year (for example the first front was produced between 1967 and 1969, in 1969 it changed until 1972 when there was the last change until 1973. you can notice it on my trucks, the blue one is 1971 and the red one is 1972. about the engine, we had not opportunity to enjoy that amazing V8's ... the only availables for the C10 were the 230 and 250 cubic inches six-cylinder. the 250 was an option. in both of my trucks i have the 230". it came with Holley 36. i keep it in the 1972, but in the 1971 i put a holley 40/40 and other spicy stuff i'll keep telling you more details about the Argentinian Chevys if you like, you can see more details, pictures and videos about my trucks in the web page i did for the Blue 1971 (yeah i'm sick for the chevys!!!!): http://www.laocker.com.ar and here you can see a video of it in a car show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xoP_Zv8_gw finally, some pictures of my trucks: Greetings from the south hemisfere!!! Bruno (or Bruce, that's my nick name!!) Last edited by ChevyC10Argentina; 07-25-2006 at 08:10 PM. |
