Wow! And thanks for sharing. I haven't seen this many of these trucks in a yard since the 80's. Nothing like this left around where I live.

My life is complete - I now know where I want my ashes scattered after I die.

All those 60-61 hoods. I don't think there's any on the eastern side of the Mississippi.

I think this is where all the local 60-63's ended up... all I can find to buy are 456's

his yard is called kellys. as you are driving north to arlee from missoula, he is about 2 miles before arlee.
look for the 68 chev 4door on the pole, and he is closed sunday and monday, rest of the week 8-5, except friday, 8-3.

Re: stopped by the local yard today......

Your just mean! I mean all those 63 grilles at $100.00+ and you just leave them there. I hope the owner of the yard doesn't read this forum.

I don't think he is on the net... there is one more decent one, but the rest are pretty hammered, all need work.

Re: stopped by the local yard today......

Thanks again for sharing these pictures. It's like stepping back in time seeing all this early stuff available. I'd never get anything done if I lived nearby.

Re: stopped by the local yard today......

sad day.... all the big trucks are gone, and the entire center row: the ones that aren't up against the fence.....
wish I had had more time and money.. lots of stuff that I just wasn't able to salvage.
Of particular sadness to me, some stuff I didn't have a chance to get:
2 factory sway bars.
1 mint rust free bare 61 cab.
1 61 3/4 ton detroit locker posi.
1 mint 65 lwb LH bedside.
1 very nice 63 deluxe seat.
2 60-61 c/60 grilles
1 set of 61 knobs with the "V","C","T", and "L" printed on them...
1 deluxe 61 steering wheel.

there is a bunch of other stuff that I was sad to see go into the crusher, quite a few 60-66 deluxe guage packages, about 30 good high hump floor tunnels, and lots of miscellaneous parts....

I think steel is at $230 a ton around here, this stuff is just disappearing fast, it has been a few months since I have been out there, and on the ride back I noticed that 5 other 60-66's that I knew about in fields, and on farms were gone.
