Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
I found an old german knife in the trunk of my tempest. It was inside 1/4 panel. It has cool german proofing marks but it's real dull. I'll sharpen it one day.

I pulled into the local gas station a few years ago and found a half pound of green bud sitting on top of the gas pump. I still wonder why someone would set a bag of weed there. |

Are those peanuts? Why stash them in the A/C vent? I hope no one rode in that truck that suffered from a peanut allergy.

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
Yep peanusts. The vent ducts were all connected too so it's not like it was hanging down where you could reach them.

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
Tot a 67-72 but I just picked up a 78 AMC Concord for $50.00 from a retired Marine Go Marines ! He said he had no key to the trunck, so i removed the back seat. Inside I found about $500.00 in new parts for it It has not run in 5 years, not a mark on the body, also it's a 2 door DL fully loaded. It will be my new DD......28 -30 MPG aint to bad either

Great stories, but the one with the jeep and the ball of snakes wins.
I'm gonna have bad dreams about that now.... |

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
Ha, fun thread. In my 72 GMC K2500 I found a bunch of nude photos of the previous owner and some of what appeared to be his girl friend. I was going to return them but I didn’t want him to die of embarrassment.
I also found half a stop sign posing as a floor pan in my 71 GMC C1500 Another not so crazy thing I found was a mixture of grease and fiberglass insulation mushed together and crammed into the cab corners and under the rubber floor. I will admit that it did stop the rust in those spots. And like everyone else, lots of rust, bondo, mice, mice stuff, and wasps

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
Found a rubber Gumby toy (the green guy) in an old VW Bug - he became the shop mascot for a long time after that, then disappeared again. I suspect he's lurking around somewhere in the shop under something...

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
I found some good history on my truck. I found the owners manual of my 68. It was bought locally in 67. It shows where the dealership swapped the original 307 for a 283 when the guy bought the truck. I mean was the 307 so bad as to be swapped before it left the lot?

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
The pic of the peanuts in the ac line reminded me of all the acorns I found in two extra radiators I have, turns out that squirels have been hiding them in there, they also figured out how to open the lid on my MIG welder and filled it up as well. I hope I never need the radiators, I can't get the acorns out of it.

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks
Recent new owner of a 72 bought for my 15 yo son.
We found a really old looking wrist watch down low in the fender. It just thought that was cool until I read this thread. I am new to this site and really enjoy reading the threads and have learned a lot. |

Various keys to unknown car/house. Unused tune up parts, tools. An old cigarette filter and a love letter addressed to the previous owners daughter...
